So has anyone tried this yet? I have been debating testing out the beta copy that was released. Just wanted to see if anyone had tried it and what they thought.

Release date of 2006, right?

I can wait. I hear it's nothing impressive.

Beta is already out, final release is scheduled for 2006.

I saw an alpha test of it in an IT class 2 semesters ago. Looked somewhat interesting but I wouldn't want to ruin my computer, deal with bugs, and have the possible compatibility issues.

Personally i'm gonna wait until 2008.

It won't really come out til 2007, and then it'll take at least a year to get rid of the major flaws.

You're right, it's going to be 2007. Isn't it going to be Microsoft's 64-bit OS?

I'd say so, as this year 64 bit stuff will be becoming widely available. By 2006, it will most likely be the norm.

Anyone care to fill us non-1EET people (or whatever) in on the advantages of such advanced software?

Basically it is going from 32-bit software to 64-bit software. In lamens terms that means your computer is processing twice as much information in the same amount of time. Also there are a good deal of other improvements(or will be at final release) that improve ease of use and performance.
