I have photoshop 7.0 I don't even know why I have it on my computer when I know diddly squat to use it. But I'm le broke and a half to buy so many people gifts this year, so I'm trying to come up with something more sincere than buying materialistic stuff to give. < Something someone broke would say.

Does anybody know how to put a transparent paragraph/text on to a picture? Also to size the text into whatever size I want?

open picture
get text tool (looks like an I-beam like in most programs)
click anywhere on image and begin typing (it makes a new layer automatically)
when done click the check box on the top bar
select the arrow+ tool to move it around
double click the layer to edit the text
while not in edit-text mode hit control-t to scale or otherwise manipulate text (hold shift to keep proportions when scaling)

Ok, so the above describes making text, to make it transparent, on the "Layers" window, make sure you have the layer with text selected, and change the "opacity" percentage until it is the right amount of transparency.

Photoshop 7.0 is so obsolete.

Yeah, it's a whole 2 versions behind!!1!

As a user of 7 and CS2, they're more or less the same for most things.

I'm pretty sure they have changed nothing since 5.0.... least it seems that way. Oh well... I have CS, works fine for me.

CS2 I heard has several problems. I personally have 7 and CS, both are about the same, and work great for me.

There have been fucking FIRES inside Xbox 360s. They suck. Microsoft made a huge mistake.

Only problem I've ever had with CS2 isn't a photoshop problem, it's a (stupid) mac problem.

Hmm, only font problem I've had was my fault...I tried putting font libraries in the fonts folder, which caused crashing until I thought to take them out.

My work computer has like a bajillion fonts now.
