If I had to guess, the favor you earned was calculated against the things you were killing's level to yours, and since your level increased, the favor decreased since the level ratio is different.

Just to address a couple issues.

You require certain favour per level though. You went up a level and didn't have enough favour therefore. How utterly pleasing logic is.

Not correct. Voln favor is profession based, for the most part. The easier it is to kill undead, the more favor needed to gain steps.

Clerics and Sorcerers need the most, Warriors need the least. Level only comes into play while you earn steps. After Master, it takes very little undead and at any level to maintain symbol uses.

I thought that the favor gained per kill was based on your current voln step vs undead creature level.

It did take Joxter (sorcerer) a long time to make master in voln.....

But that was really shitty what they did to RangerD1

Two of my friends mastered in under or right around a week, 40+ sorc and 30+ cleric. Because of that im guessing that its not profession based. RangerD is the most likely closest to the truth out of the theory's given. The older the creature, the more favor you get from it.

Higher step, more favor needed. Level = Favor.

I'm not going to get into a profession et al debate when it comes to Voln favor/steps. A lot of it is unknown to players.

But.. I do whole heartedly agree that, was was done, and will now happen to more players is indeed - shitty.

In GSIII we had control over that type of situation. Simply get that step first, then go train up in the level.

Now... we don't have that 'leveling up' control. We're going to see more players walk into Voln at one level, only to have it change as they get to the Monk.

I'd drop FEEDBACK a note on that. There's just too much popping up about GSIV that stinks.

(I don't know about ya'll, but for me.. Simu can take that "378 in-game hours" to adjust a skill and stick it where the sun don't shine!)

I mastered anyway, it only took like 2 more hunts. It just sucked cause it was 2am and i was tired as fuck. (and i wanted to master before i went to sleep)
