Do you need manipulation?

Do i need this for gemsinging and the singing sword? Right now i'm .5xing manip and mmc, of course 1x air...too expensive for much else.

Personal taste really. I don't think it's worth it for 1025 at all and only 1004 at higher levels when you can afford to do so. I'd personally go for the AS effects of telepathy

My little bardess has no manipulation or air lore (or mmc, currently). She's going all telepathy lore, for Kai's and the other benefits. She's a polearmer, so she doesn't have many TP's to spare for magical skills, unfortunantly..

If you plan to be a pure bard - get manip. Otherwise you'd be a fuck of a lot better off with telep (rage, kai, longer song cycle) and air.
