Well the folks in the park got a little show tonight.

Had a deal with Suavementasious, Micahelous' "Brother," for a 1x old style claidhmore, for 4 mil.

After the exchange, when informed it wasn't and old style, he ran off, and when I found him in the park.

They have stated ( I could swear ) that if someone says somethings has X properties, and then you discover it does not, they will intervene. Maybe write feedback. As well as do another assist, and get a referral to a GM again.

Kill him 4M times ...

It's always been buyer beware. If they make him return the coins great but I don't think they have to. That being said I'd drop him at least once per silver he scammed you out of. His life's worth about one silver so it only seems fair.

If memory serves, oldstyles should inspect as greatsword base. Newstyles are claidhmore base.

If I remember right the old style had a high AvD but had a -10 factor to your AS.

The new style moved the -10 over to the AvD and left your AS alone.

Ok I dont wanna turn this into a "about claid " thread but i have a claid ...description is just a leather handle claid ...how can i tell if its old style or not ..ive had it for years now i just use i for bashin boxes ??

Use a 2hander...note your AS. Use the claid in question, compare your AS.

That's if Ganalon is remembering right. ;)

OK, to clarify:

The old style claidh I'm looking for will inspect as a modified two-handed sword.

These are the ones with the +10 AvD and -10 Enchant.

To futher clarify, he said he didn't feel comfortable handing it over to be inspected without the coin, which to some degree, i can understand.

And on a final note: I sold the claid he scammed me with for 500k more than he sold it to me. But i still would rather him get chewed out.

old style has .05 more DF against plate.

.275 compared to .225.

AvD check is a much easier way to do it though.
