See subject. What are all of you asking for? I'm a bit at a loss right now what to ask for, so trying to get some more ideas.

List right now:
Sonicare toothbrush
PS2 SSX On Tour
Dress shirts/ties

Socks, shirts. My parents still buy me a lot of stuff so I feel guilty asking for too much at Christmas.

I am so so so x 100 tired of "stuff" at Christmas. When we got married, we got all the shit we needed and more. Christmas and Birthday presents when I was younger used to be about asking for something I really wanted but couldn't necessarily afford myself. Now, if I want it I buy it. If I can't afford it, chances are it's not the kind of thing I would ask for as a gift anyway.

This year from my parents, Jake and I asked for a vacation. Send us somewhere cool. I want to go cool places and have a good time, not compile more shit to put in my house.

One exception to this is the book my Grandpa gave me for Christmas last year. I've been on countless hiking day trips and about six long backpacking trips with him along with other members of my family, and he put all the photos from our years of trips together, along with all our years of ski trips to Purgatory and Angelfire. As he's getting into his 80's and no longer able to ski/hike all day the way he used to, having something like that is completely priceless.

But I told Jake I need to add to my Tiffany jewelry collection:)

Moms already bought me a PSP. I think she's going to buy the $70 1gb memory card for it and say it's from my bro.

And she bought one game(NFS) and is looking for another (GTA:LCS)

From others? No clue. I need to pick out a replacement head unit for my car (one that has pre-amp outputs and plays mp3s). Might ask for an inexpensive PDA to keep track of logins/passwords from work. And some inexpensive things for my car I didn't get last year.

The wife wants an ipod, I might spring for the ipod nano and load it up with movies and TV shows for her.

Computer-wise I'm fine, I got a nice little boost when my little bro came over and played WoW on my PC. Holy crap that resolution is 10x better then mine. And when I tried his PC, he was right.

We also installed one of his Xmas presents from me last year on Friday. It's a card that fits right next to your video card in your PC (in one of the slots) and has a fan that pushes all the heat outside of your PC.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get tennis stuff and money. I'm kind of hoping that I'll get a lot of balls (har har har) and a hopper to keep them in, so that I can practice serves. I'm also hoping for some ankle/wrist weights.

Money's what I'd really like, but it's kind of dodgy since these days the things I want are a bit expensive. I'd love to get a new stereo and sound system for my car, and I'd also like to get a new MP3 player, since mine stopped turning on.

Jake got me the best gift ever one year (OK, so it wasn't for Christmas, it was my Birthday...) but still puts it in the "not useless shit I don't need but a cool gift" category.

Dave Barry is like my most favorite-ever humor writer, so he picked up a book and mailed it to Miami requesting an autograph. It says, "To Kristin, another year older. Dave Barry."

That was definitely the shit. I like Wezas' idea of loading up the ipod for his wife with stuff he knows she'll like, that's extra-super special (and will maybe land him some action).

I'd like to find a new house for Christmas, and hopefully nudge my free loading brothers out the door so I can enjoy my new family without the hassle of two immature assholes.

Apart from that I'm easy to please. Books, an endless supply of stretched canvas for my paintings, I'd adore an ipod like you wouldn't believe, but thats a stretch. This Christmas is all about the bambino

I keep telling my family not to get me anything for xmas, that we should concentrate on the kids. Why send my parents a $50 gift card for somewhere when they send me a $50 gift card for somewhere (etc.). It's redundant and silly.

And now that it's just me (not married), I have to spend twice as much on gifts as others have to spend on me. For example, if I spend $20 on each person - my sister, her husband, her kids, my parents, my brother, and so on, they only have to combined spend $20 on me.

Piss on Xmas. I'm only buying gifts for the kids. Everyone else gets a card.

So... I want nothing. If I need something, I buy it. Like someone else said, anything I don't buy is because it's a high-end purchase that you can't ask someone to buy for you. It'll get bought eventually.

I am happy. I really can not think of anything I want. For me its really hard to come up with something, as I really feel my life, love, and relationships are in a good place (for the most part).

I did ask my soon-to-be (someday) father-in-law to frame a picture my son did, and I asked my Fiance'e for a sweater or two since mine are like 5 years old. I think she decided to give me the sweaters for my birthday which is in a few days.

What would be the best of the best is having my 2 kids actually live with us, and out from under the individual that has them now. I mean if my son tells said individual that he wants to go live with dad, said individual slaps him (or so he says, but its not a stretch of the imagination to see this person do that). So yea, my kids living with us, but I know thats not going to happen.

My dreams are being worked on by both myself and my Fiance'e, I should say our shared dreams, so it kinda goes without saying that good things come to those that wait.

I did get my girl an antique cameo, that I gave her tonight, I just can't hold onto presents. But I have something else in mind for her as well, and since she visits these forums, no way am I giving up what it is, but its at least as cool, if not cooler.

As far as the rest of the family, I just want to enjoy them, much as I always do, especially my step-children which are uber cool, not that I am partial or anything.

Finis

PS~ Did any of that make any sense?

Oh, love?! You must not always rely on faulty reviews. If I must, I usually rely on RPGAMER.com for solid reviews. If you're a fan of the Suikoden series, it is a must have, regardless of what the reviews say?!

As an avid fan of Final Fantasy Tactics, the Disgaea series, and other tactical RPGs, I'm absolutely positive that you would thoroughly enjoy it. Many people did not like Suikoden 3 and 4, but they say Tactics makes up for them ten fold!

Reconsider, reconsider, reconsider!

Edited to fix a few typos. I must have typed this with my willy, because it was rather sloppy. Apologies.

My son asked me to give the money I would have given him for Christmas to Texas Children's Hospital via their Amazon.com wish list.

Odds are, there's a facility near you on the Amazon wish lists. I'm not a person to drumbeat charitable donations, but I think that sending some toys or games to a children's hospital at Christmas time is as close to being a real Santa as we're ever going to get.

I was really proud and touched that my son wanted me to do this. He has grown up so much this last year. :) Turning into a mature and thoughtful adult is the best present he ever could have given me. It's going to be a great Christmas.

Nope, I have all of those. This is a relatively new series called War of the Spider Queen. Six books in total. We have the first five-- Dissolution; Insurrection; Condemnation; Extinction; and Annihilation. Your son rocks, good for him. There is a charity that doesn't eat up money for administration? In Canada charities are legally allowed to take up to 15% in admin costs. I wonder how a charity works that has no administration costs? Maybe everyone is a volunteer. If you find the charity please post the link. We have the first five-- Dissolution; Insurrection; Condemnation; Extinction; and Annihilation. The sixth book, Ressurection, was not available in paperback the last six times we checked  So..that's what I want. Even if it's in the hardback version.

Ah, then the author threw me off. R.A Did not write those. They are just credited to him for him designing the race and such. They are different authors, at least the books I've seen are.

The chilly temps reminded me this morning I may dish out the cash for an auto-starter for my car. Maybe get a Viper security system put on it while I'm at it. Merry Xmas to me.

I'd suggest walking places, so new shoes would be a good gift for yourself.

I realize this I wanted to go back in time to emulate everything I've seen you act like to present date. I figure that's a sure fire way to be if not the coolest at least one of the coolest kids on the block. I'm sure to get a girl that way. Even looking as bad as I do.

Correct, I'm only missing the final book of the Thousand Orcs trilogy, and book 5 & 6 of War of the Spider Queen.

Naw, I just have a few authors I truly enjoy to read. Salvatore, Eddings, Feist, Lackey come quickly to mind. I haven't had the free time to read much lately, either.

1. Permission from the City of Monterey to expand the bar.

2. More hours in each day.

Probably more, but I'm feeling spectacularly unmotivated today.

So... I want nothing. If I need something, I buy it. Like someone else said, anything I don't buy is because it's a high-end purchase that you can't ask someone to buy for you. It'll get bought eventually.

I agree. With everything.

hrmm...

For me I want the addition on our house to be at least on its way...

And a new set of luggage for our vacation this summer.

My 7 year old son wants his own room ( he is sharing with a 5 year old sister until the above addition is done)

He wants new bedroom furnature which he is picking out and Santa is putting on lay-a-way.

He wants as many starwars lego sets as we can find as well as starwars lego 2 game.

My 5 year old daughter wants a barbie house, new sheets and blankets all barbie (for her new room).
She recently went to a preschool cheerleading camp and wants a real cheerleading outfit with real pom poms.
She also wants a kitten but not even santa can cause my hubby to say yes to that one.

Not sure what I am getting Eric yet. He has some OLD cassette tapes I might get on CD (the whole YES and Beatles set to be exact)

He also loves anything WWII since he is a reinactor... so I saw a new uniform in an antique shop with all the medals and pins etc....

BUT most of all we want our addition of a bedroom suite for us, a bigger kitchen and a dining room. AND for this summer..... central air at last!!

If Santa was smart he would leave you a few grand in an unmarked envelope to bribe the people at the city planning commission to approve plans to expand the bar.......what the hell is Jesus going to do for in this situation?

Good Plan. See below:

Dear Jesus,
I am sorry your name sounds like you were born in Mexico, rather than Nazareth. We assume it was Nazareth because the TV tells us it is so. Speaking of which, wtf was with the whole ten commandments thing? And do you really expect us to stick to one chick at a time? That's crazy talk. Oh, and if you convince the city planning commission that an expansion would be a sweet idea, I promise we'll have a big Christmas Party.

Kthx,
Hak

P.S. Please note I didn't say X-mas. I know ya hate that Big J.
