I do all my banking on the internet, via Bank of America. For the past week or so, I can't seem to get past logging on, it gives me that "Webpage is unavailable" bullshit. I just used another computer and it worked perfectly fine. I also wanted to order something off Itunes.com and that didn't work either. I can get on the initial webpages, but once I attempt to login or buy something.. bammo.. web page unavailable.
Help a brother out.
I've cleared my history, cookies and files.. still doesn't work.
I've reset my internet to the default.. still doesn't work.
What else is there that I can do?

Renaming your HOSTS file might do it.

If your'e using IE, here's an article that seems to relate to your issue:

Also, I doubt it's your host file.

You're trying to go to iTunes.com.
You deserve to have your computer explode and kill you.

I agree with bob.
Although, if you have large cache's and such, your computer may store most of the pages you have offline, and when you try and surf you're just pulling up old pages that you have stored on your computer--So when you try and renew (i.e. logon to secure, purchase) it doesnt connect, mainly because you may not be connected to the internet (or it may be down, etc etc)
Dunno though.

Drop in another Browser and see if that corrects it to narrow down the ol possibilities. If you've cleared cache and cookies and IE still doesn't work when’s the last time you scanned for the old virii?

Thanks for the list Mistomeer. I went through the entire list.. trying it after every step. Didn't work.
It ended up being my anti-virus software. Don't ask me how or why. The subscription was up as of last Friday and once I renewed it.. everything worked fine.
Fucking conspiracy.

I don't use iTunes since I don't have an iPod. My brother in law does use it though.. so for his birthday, we gave him a gift certificate on that site.

Heh, AV was on the list...
Not sure how that messed up browsing though. Obviously, a conspiracy.

Get a new computer, retire to Sarasota, play more Golf, and never miss your AARP weekly.
