Updated Novemeber 21, 2005.
Premium Points Costs
Pre-Scripted Giftshop Item - 300
Alteration - 600
Autoscripter - 600
Titles - 1200 (not currently implemented)
EZscript - 1800 (one action)
Lighten / Deepen one item - 600
Extra Typeahead Line - 900 (Fountains located on Four Winds Isle)
Enhancive Item - 1800 (level 1 or 2)
Enhancive Item - 2400 (level 3 or 4)
For more information on enhancive creation visit http://www.play.net/gs4/premium/premiumplus.asp.
Flare - variable
For items up to +20, cost is equal to (5+(enchant divided by 2)*100). For items over +20, the cost is (15+(enchant-20)*100). Examples: Adding flares to a +30 weapon is 2500, for a 10x weapon is 4500. Allowed flares are heat, cold, electric, acid, and impact.
Enchant +5 - variable
Cost is (new enchant * 100). If the item has flares or special scripting add 1000 to the cost. If the item has padding or weighting, add (2 x level padding/weighting) to the cost. If the item is blessible, add 500 for it to remain blessible. Exception: New-style (only) claidhmores cost ((40 + 2x) * 100) the new plus. Examples: Taking a normal weapon from 4 to 5x costs 2500, a normal steel claidhmore from 0 to 1x costs 5000, a flaring 9x weapon to 10x costs 6000. Defensive based (DB) items are not enchantable.
Padding - variable.
Cost is ((2 x level padding) + enchant) * 100). Padding is rated "Heavy". Example: Padding 4x armor is 4000 points, 10x is 7000. For purposes of this system, any current padding in the item is ignored.
Note: In all cases, the Mechanics and/or the Upsells SGMs have the right to decline any item for any reason and/or increase the Points assessed at their sole discretion.

Can anyone confirm that when adding padding to an item, it automatically increases/decreases it to heavy?

<< Can anyone confirm that when adding padding to an item, it automatically increases/decreases it to heavy? >>
The way I understand it, you can request any padding level of padding be added, up to and including heavy.
Anything already heavy or higher cannot be further padded with premium points, but I do not think padding will be lowered if you are having the item altered.

Is there another way besides "Pcalc" to assess a padded set of armor to tell whether, at fair, it has 3 or 4 points of padding?
Or for a somewhat padded armor, whether it is 7 points or 8?

Other than a GM/merchant telling you, no.

I thought you could purchase post-name titles with premium points from the disheveled resident NPC on Mist Harbor.

Yes. That was added before I left. The premium verb isn't updated to reflect that.

Unless you won a raffle from Imdal, EG didn't offer very much unless you wanted your items lightened or deepened.
I didn't see one merchant that would alter armor/weapons/shields with a show. Not one adding any kind of flares via a list or spinner only Imdal on items from his own shop if you managed a raffle win.
Compared to last year with knock out flares, banshee flares and Ironwight working on player forged weapons EG was a massive fail.

What is the forumla for this anyway? I wouldn't mind knowing exactly what my armor has and I know I have enough points to test just about anything.
