This shield is full 10x enchants. with spikes.

Desc: a dark krodera spiked battle-shield.

Has not been converted yet:

Show: The dark battle-shield is rimmed in sharpened krodera spikes. A padded shoulder strap of monkey fur is banded across the back of the shield for ease in carrying. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

Weigh: You carefully examine the krodera spiked battle-shield and determine that the weight is about 8 pounds.

Assess: You assess the battle-shield for structural weaknesses and strengths.

Careful examination indicates the krodera spiked battle-shield has a base strength of 59 and a base durability of 220. You also determine the current integrity of the krodera spiked battle-shield to be at 100.0%.

You heft the battle-shield a few times, but learn nothing more about it.

Inspect: You carefully inspect your krodera spiked battle-shield.

Your careful inspection of a dark krodera spiked battle-shield allows you to conclude that it is a medium shield that protects the bearer if carried in the left hand. You also notice that it is spiked.

You determine that you could wear the battle-shield, slinging it across your shoulders and back.

If it's unconverted as a medium-shield, then what exactly would it turn into other than just a medium shield if one tried converting it? Er?

I have nothing to back that up besides a vague memory, so anyone else with a more firm response would be wonderful. :blush:

Unless it has tower, large, kidney, wall, etc. in the tap description, I'm not exactly sure how conversion would be an asset into somehow "improving" the shield since its base (medium) won't actually change.

I guess you could try and find a stupid shield-alterer, though.

And where does one get a shield converted? Thought that was a merchant service...

Yeah, but this paticular shield wouldn't convert to anything.

since the shield was altered theres no way to know if it may be a tower shield unless you take it to the armor shop and place it in the portal....one you do it tells you what it will become once converted....you have to do it a second time in order for it to be converted so dont worry about it being converted on the first try..it will only tell you what the conversion is.
