Oh also, Hagga's skull didn't make the plants, Hagga's skull allowed her to control worms and Griffins as Hagga once did, only Ladrial changed them into tainted, slimy creatures, rather than healthy ones.

Also, Ladrial has said she wishes to turn the Landing into her Blighted Garden. So far, that's the only word I've heard about why she's doign this and why the plants are attacking.
