I still blow gems once in a while and I'm level 100, 100+ spellsongs and 75 ranks of manipulation.

I'm not sure whether it's your arrogance, ignorance or inability to be honest that irritates me more.

1) I assume spellsongs matter but it's not in the spell description so I can't be sure if it's spellsongs or level that makes the impact.

2) You can't have 180 spellsongs at 83.

3) Nearly nothing in gemstone is gauranteed, such as purifying as it contains an open roll. Don't think that getting +170 (if in fact you are 2x in spellsongs and spellsongs matter) on the open roll is enough to relegate blowing a gem.

4) You are selling a character that has been completely marginalized so you blow gems at a slightly smaller fequency than would a bard that had been trained properly.

5) Hope the bard has a fixskills left.

84 (0 - 83) possible levels to train at 2 ranks per train equals 168 possible ranks in magic that a bard can train. Thats about 12 ranks shy of the 180 initial claim.

Interesting sales tactic, but erroneous if claim matches details given as above.
