Anyone play/played this before? Any good?

Lousy for single player because you can't adjust the size of the maps or armies. Pretty fun if you play online, though.

I'd wait for the price to come down to 29.99 or lower, though. I personally don't feel that I got my money's worth paying 49.99 for the game.

Battlefield series is ONLY meant to be played multiplayer... as it was intended from the start. Excellent multiplayer game.

Try researching prior threads before starting a brand new one about an "old" game.

How about getting a labcoat that fits? Besides if I want a skewed opinion (OMG OMG OMG HJ IS GONNA ROCK), I'd have asked you via AIM.

I'm considering buying it, too. I've seen it on Ebay for as low as 29.99, Stray, might wanna check there first, but wasn't looking for the UK version so I am not sure if it's as cheap.

Well I'm expecting to be forking over more cash (as I usually have to) anyway. Amazon have it at £30, though theres some good ebay deals...

Since I still get TONS of play out of bf1942 I hadn't planned on buying it until it dropped in price significantly. (bf1942 has been 5 bucks for a couple years now) I do however play the demo once in a while..

Well I've got Call of Duty for my WW2 fix. CS Source blows, IMHO so I'm looking for something thats modern and good.

The old BF1942 has modern "mods" such as desert combat that I've posted screens of before.. still great fun at very little cost.

Why not just "try it out" by using a torrent?

I doubt you could try a hacked game online.

It's an awesome game, I highly reccommend it.

As for downloading it, there's still single-player vs bots with teamates and all that on smaller maps to get a taste of it.
