well...i got stunned and knoched over, so i died hunting out in ice giants again...and this is what happens:
lesser ice giant swings a massive icicle at you!
AS: +183 vs DS: +148 with AvD: +38 + d100 roll: +49 = +122
... and hits for 12 points of damage!
Blow raises a welt on your right arm.
The brilliant luminescence fades from around you.
The silvery luminescence fades from around you.
The buzz of thoughts in your mind subsides.
You return to normal color.
The bright luminescence fades from around you.
It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...
You mentally give a sigh of relief as you remember that the Goddess Lorminstra owes you a favor.

You also see a lesser ice giant, a blue-white frost opal, a fur-lined horned helm, a fur-lined horned helm, a frost giant that is sitting, a fur-lined horned helm and a fur-lined horned helm.
Obvious paths: east, down
