I imagine it depends on how you define it. You could call "Lost" sci-fi/fantasy. Same goes for Buffy, Charmed, etc. I imagine when you say science fiction most people think of spaceships and laster beams. I wonder what the percentage of males/females who watch those kind of sci fi shows are.

It's so true that blowing into your megadrive or snes gave you a feeling of pure confidence that the game would work!
And it did work!!

*chuckles* I remember this, when my friend and I would play with his NES.
My family never could afford those things when I was younger. So I missed out on a lot of games and stuff.

[Edited on 10-31-2005 by Latrinsorm] Haha... we used to do that all the time. When the game would work afterwards you'd do it again the next time you didn't put it in properly. Good times.

Between that and having to hold down the "reset" button after saving your Zelda game and shutting down - the Nintendo was straight up ghetto.
But a blast.

Nintendo ghetto? You could put that thing through absolute hell and it would still work. Same with the SNES, and the N64.
Its Playstation that breaks down if you cough on it.

Studies show that British women watch more sci-fi than British men do. The key reasons the researches found for this were that British men are less entertaining than sci-fi and that British women aren't worth taking out on a Friday night, anyhow

Almost EVERY RPG for NES you had to hold reset for. You didn't have to, in which case you were messing with fate. I don't think I ever did for Ultima IV, was like 70 hours into that fucking game and, I turned it off by power like I had always been.
Fired it up the enxt day, GONE! That's why most other games had passwords, and Game Genie was a fucking god!

I loved my Game Genie. All my friends (yes, I had friends back then) asked me to bring it over when we played. Unlimited lives, etc. in Megaman and all the cool games.

Mmm.. Zelda.. I miss Zelda. The original, that is. Spent way too many hours playing that game.

My motto was, "I like to cheat", because I always had Game Genie, Gameshark, etc. for my systems.
