cobbling and soles

Do I have to add soles to master cobbling?

I swear it's taking me forever. When it first came out I thought I mastered it in like 6 hours. Now it seem simpossible

If you can "ah-ha" off of things other than soles, I would venture no. Just do whatever comes fastest most (works in forging).
