Basics (from the page #2 above):
Two new player races: Blood Elves for the Horde, and an as-yet-un-named race for the Alliance
Level Cap raised to 70
New profession: Jewelcrafting
New World: Outland
Eight new high-level dungeons
Special level 70-only Flying Mount
Jewelcrafting - rings, necklaces, tiaras, trinkets maybe?
I still like my woodworking idea. Are you listening you Blizzard bastards????
...this really makes me want to reactivate my account once the expansion rolls around. Damn you, Blizzard!

Color me unimpressed.
Most of the stuff they're releasing in regards to places to explore has been in the game since release.
I've already been to Hyjal. I've already been in the Caverns of Time. I've already been in Ahn'Qiraj. And hell, you can explore Outlands already by using wowmapview... it ain't a very impressive place. Just a bunch of repeating architecture on a desert landscape.
The rest of it sounds like more 20-40 man raids. In other words, more big mobs with even more HP. Been there, done that? Wasn't fun the first time, why would another be any different?
Blood elves sound interesting, and chances are alliance are gonna get draeni. It's kind of insulting that the blood elves are just remodeled night elves, though. "Let's see... how can we add a new race with the least amount of work possible? I got it! Change the texture and ear shape on the night elves! Genius!"
Crap on a plate and call it a feast.
It ain't nearly enough to make me want to reactivate my account.

Heh, by the sounds of it, not much will get you to go back anyway. You seem like you'd be umimpressed by anything they did (kinda how jaded GS players are with Simu and their releases). And that's okay, you know. But you DID play for quite a bit. You talk as though you hated every moment of it. :P

It just doesn't seem like an expansion to me. Almost everything they're adding could have been released in content patches (in fact, as I've said, most of the stuff from the expansion is already in our hard drives.)
Besides the increased level cap, the two new races, the new profession, and those socketed items (whatever they are), there's nothing that's new and fresh. Just more quests and more dungeons.
To put it simply, they're following the EverQuest model down to the letter, and one of the initial attractions of WoW was that they deviated from that model. But the similarities between The Burning Crusade and the Ruins of Kunark are bountiful.
It's not that I'm jaded with the game, I'm just disappointed in the direction they're taking it. This most likely has a lot to do with the fact that most of the original development team left, and it's now being run by a bunch of former EQ lackeys.
All that.. and no new class? Bull shit... make a shadowknight and I'll play again..

I don't like the idea of Blood Elves being aligned with the Horde, even if they're consorting with the demonic.
.
If anything, should be more of an unaligned, or a neutral race.

I do. As the narcisstic girl that I am...I don't like playing ugly characters. :(
It will be nice to have some nice-looking eeeevil ones now.

Troll chicks can be hot, in a horde sort of way. And hey, it's all the same in the dark, right?

I don't think Jesae would like being called a "cow" or "dead" repeatedly.

I kinda wish they had started a new faction that was neutral. One that existing alliance or horde can work toward. That way you'd be able to attack people of your original faction when they piss you off since they'd become neutral to you.
I mean, SOMETHING that allowed you to kill people of the same faction :)

Nevermind in WC3, upon which WoW begins from, timeline-wise, the blood elves were fighting on the Alliance side.
.
I think Blizzard should do Alliance, Neutral, Horde.
So that there's more of 2 solid sides with some being in the middle ground.
Then, if you were to align it from one end to the other... on the far left end would be Humans and Dwarves, Gnomes a bit to the right, and then Night Elves a bit further to the right... Blood Elves and the other new race being in the middle zone... then going from left to right would be Tauren, Undead, and then Orcs and Trolls on the far end.
