You swing a feras mattock at ____!
AS: +46 vs DS: +68 with AvD: +35 + d100 roll: +89 = +102
... and hit for 1 point of damage!
A feeble blow to ____'s right arm!
The guiding force leaves you.
*** As the blow lands, the feras mattock unleashes a heavy surge of lightning!
... 50 points of damage!
Electrical charge toasts foe! You get a sharp whiff of burning hair.

* ____ drops dead at your feet!

Swinging past an airwall using a two-handed weapon with deminished spirit. Thought that would be obvious.

Its a ha ha. So smile.

Being a Sorcer he also probably had more than one spell running that reduces the AS of him and others possibly as well.

I already am well aware of you, Garr, yet we have never met.

Well, if you read the PC boards and actually read the posts of others you learn about them.

Just reading his posts, I know he is a Sorcerer who follows the way. Although there are some mutant sorcs who use two handers its extremely unusual.

Sorcs almost always have at least airwall running and many if not most are in COL.

Just use your head and think it through a bit is all.

Kris na Su'ta means Walk with Power. It is Dhe'nar. As for a"pathetic AS", he is a sorcerer, and probably has 102 up.

No it does not.

Kris na su'ta is part of a saying. It means Power is everything.

Kris har'esh translates literally as "May you walk with power as your constant companion," but is most commonly understood to mean "Walk with power."

See Garr, these are the type of people that be all secretive about who their other characters are that actually know you. These are the people I take a full swing at with my cleaver and then say "Oh, well why didn't you tell me you were XXXXXXX".

Unless of course he just knows your reputation, which I'm sure is written on every stall in the lands.

TheotherJohn is correct. The full tenet as follows:

"Su'dhaa na-gnosa. Gnosa na kris-a. Kris na su'ta."

"Everything is knowledge. Knowledge is power. Power is everything."

For further reading see the High Lord Starsnuffer's published works.

Ah yes, pardon me. I read the first word and instantly got it mistaken with Kris har'esh, which is Walk with Power. My mistake.

A mistake most new Dhe'nar characters (myself included) make is to assume the Dark elf language is the same as Dhe'nar-si.

It seems the official stance is that the Faendryl tongue is Dark elven, as the term Dark Elf applies to them and not the Dhe'nar. They were labeled as such by the Elven houses because of their act of genocide upon House Ashrim.

Some Dhe'nar speak only elven, claiming it to be their language. I have seen some speak in elven with dhe'nari accent as well.

When those that can speak Dhe'nari fluently (Members of the Obsidian Council, with a few exceptions) speak in Dhe'nar-si they use the common tongue. One of my most lasting memories of gemstone was to listen to a conversation High Lord Starsnuffer had with a visiting envoy from Eh'lah held entirely in the Dhe'nari language.

Though it would simplify my roleplaying greatly I would hate to have a Dhe'nar language setting. Part of the experience of being an apprentice is to learn the language from your mentor.
