They found a 2 year old girl that had been home alone for 2 weeks living off of condiments and dried pasta. Mom was in jail and apparently didn't want the authorities to know about the kid. When the father called the prison and asked about the child, she lied and said neighbors were taking care of it. (Who the hell knows why...)

That bitch better be up for something stronger than reckless endangerment.

God, I hate hearing stories like that. It depresses me. People like that don't deserve the priveledge of having children. Stupid bitch!

Sterilized hell, euthanized would be more appropriate.

That was all over the radio and local news last week.
Completely and totally horrid that any parent would do that to a child. She doesn't deserve the right to breath.

How freaking sad. Unfortunately; in this day and age; it doesn't surprise me. Damn.

It's stories like this that reinforce my firm belief that all people of childbearing age be required to get a license to breed.
At early ages, if they fail the test, they automatically lose the right to keep their baby should they be unfortunate victims of rape or molestation.
At "normal parenting age" if they fail the test they are immediately sterilized. If they refuse the procedure they are incarcerated until they agree to it.
I mean good grief - child care companies and schools require licensing to watch your children for up to 8 hours a day. But a parent doesn't have to prove that they are capable of being parents?
It's sick and twisted to me, that the people who are actually bearing children and responsible for their upbringing don't need to prove their ability, but everyone else is. You need a license to drive a car, or operate a forklift, but you don't need a license to be a mother or father.
Sick, sick, sick.

Good survival skills on the kids part though. 2 years old and finding food and surviving. Maybe there is still hope for some of this race.

I really don't know what to say.
As a mother, I couldn't imagine doing anything that would endanger my son's safety. I can't comprehend what goes through the mind of these people who do messed up things to their children...I don't get it....I don't understand HOW they can carry out their actions...
Like Daina said, it really is a shame because there are people who for whatever reason cannot physically have children, and if given the chance, they'd give a child the most wonderful life. Then you have pieces of trash who pull stuff like this. They should have wire coat hangers straightened, heated til they're red hot, and inserted into their pupils.

That's a great idea, and would help with the overpopulation problem facing us. Too bad it will never happen though.
