I can't give myself an avatar to use whether it be by uploading or linking it from the gallery :(

:help:,

- The Termite

P.S. It's the four-armed Grimace, so this is a pretty important matter.

Also, it keeps uploading like the third or fourth last avatar I used for some reason as my thing....

Thanks!1one.

This problem still exists, I'm getting this error when I try to upload a new one:

Warning: copy(images/useravatar/Drew.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/gsplayer/public_html/forum/memcp.php on line 589
You have successfully edited your profile, you will now be taken back to the user control panel

And now I have a really old avatar that I hadn't used for a long time.

Whenever changing avatars, make sure to click the "delete avatar" box underneath the current avatar pic.

Some common fixes.

Make sure the image size is under 170x170 (99x99 is preferred by some people)

Use IE when uploading.

Otherwise it may just be the load on the database?

Try "refreshing" the browser too.

When changing avatars before, I thought it was not working despite following the "correct" procedure.

Then I refreshed the page, and my desired avatar then showed (when it seemed that the previous one was "stuck" there).

Haha woot, got a new one. Had to go to IE, turn off display of avatars, then upload a new one. If I tried to re-enable avatar display in IE it would say it was too large so instead of doing that I went back to firefox and enabled them from there.

Speaking of avatars, who has been photoshopping all the limecat helmets into the avatars?
