Problem loading avatars

I'm having trouble loading an avatar. I know its not the size or content thats the problem because I'm trying to load ones I've used before. WTF?

I get some error message but I cant read it cause it blinkys off my screen too fast and back to the Control Panel.

So idunno. Just FYI.

I was able to duplicate the problem, but couldn't catch the error message either. Hopefully, Kranar will be able to ferret out the culprit.

I was able to upload a new avatar this morning. It seems the problem has solved itself. :)

Weird. I didn't have any problem. I wonder if your pic was too big, or something. I hate things that happen randomly! :(

Yep. Just did it again. I've changed mine sucessfully by uploading from my computer.

It may also have to do with file size.

I get an error message whenever I upload a new avatar.

But there's no substantial error, since the avatar is successfully uploaded and displayed.

Or it could be because Jihna is teh EVAL and her avatars make people cry in their sleep. :whistle: Just a thought..

edit: I'm still having a problem loading avatars btw. If mine is the pink bunny then its WONKY. It wont even let me get rid of an avatar. :-/

Hmmm. Try this...

DON't delete your current avatar. Use the browse feature to upload the one you want from your HD and update (click at the bottom of the screen).

That's what I did, and it worked for me.

Hookay. I'll let Kranar know. I have no idea what's causing the problem, if the avatars fit within the size boundaries. :(

It does. I've tried all sizes. All different ways of loading. And a few times something else weird happen. An old avatar that I've used before several times loads instead. I see it now. Its the creepy waving tongue with a limehelmut. So weird. OMG MY COMPUTER IS POSSESSED.

I just loaded up a new one and it worked ok.

Ever since I had earlier problems loading avatars I use the following method to some degree of success...

1. Control panel, click on delete image box and then erase the path... then edit profile.

2. Control panel, browse and upload new then edit profile.
