Who here has main or often-played Icemule characters? I know SpunGirl, Ilvane, Finiswolf and I do. Who else?

Also, Chica and Tayre and other previous Icemule residents who haven't been around for years don't count.

<---I don't count either but Xyelin used to be a major resident there for the longest time.

I am coming back to visit Vitruvian shortly however.

WTF. Chica does count! She's still from Mule, she just doesn't visit that often!.

My wizard lives in Icemule. :)

Ilvane

I love Icemule, I sincerely doubt unless I change characters a lot that this would change.:)

What's the point anyway?

But I still love it.
And so does Gracy as far as I've seen so far.
Maybe if you charm her, you can get her to RP having your babiezz!

Sithral lived there and so did Summit for a little while.

I still like Icemule.. it's a great town because it's small enough to get the whole town mad at you.

Which, when you really look at it, was stupid on their part.

Some girl says "Oh, someone should just kill me" and Sithral, being the gentleman he was.. did just that.. and the whole town went freako.

WTF!?

Well.. Stunseed and Jolena still have a home in Icemule and had they not had to leave due to hunting grounds they never would have left at all. We are both members in Northern Fury there, as well. However, we hunt and have shops in the Landing and will be going to EN shortly for hunting again. Once we get to the Rift stages, we'll be back in Mule all the time thank goodness. I love Mule!

FinisWolf
10-22-2005, 04:27 PM
Yes, it's Finis' home, but my RL fiance'e and daughter also play and live there.

I'd say do a standard core training plan and work from there with regular migration, Jihna. You know, 2x cooking, 1x dusting, 0.5x soap opera perception, 1.5x vacuuming (2x if you think you'll be putting in shag).

Of course Merjinia is from Mule, however she's not stayed longer than a moment lately when she does get the chance to visit, so I'm guessing she doesn't count.

My little bardess resides in mule, and will likely not travel elsewhere for some time.

Drezzt lives/loves mule, but due to deliveries he's seen all over the place.

Nothing beats that good old "Welcome home Drezzt, go right through" from the Guard though.

There's no place like home :)

I got Stay's first 40 levels in Mule. He was there before 99% of the dweebs who call it home now.

Taernath
11-10-2005, 08:07 AM
Adrenath lived in Icemule for a long time, first as just another hunting area then later a home. In a couple weeks I'll dust him off and visit the lands again.

Fucking Khirdahn. That's a name I haven't heard in a while.

And since he bumped it.

Count me in, Drew, if you're keeping a running count. My main lives in Mule, and my wizard did until I found that the wights/woodsmen area of Solhaven was infinitely richer than the arch wights in Mule.

Yeah wights are pretty poor, mostly because they are the easiest wights of the mule/WL/Sol variety (WL ones have half plate on and the Solhaven ones you have to deal with woodsmen).

The woodsmen are easy enough as a wizard to deal with. Though, when I was over hunting at level 18, I didn't have a chance. Now that he's 24th, they're cakework. The wights are just used for leech. I need to find a new hunting ground for that dude.

Anyway, I wish I had more time to invest into GS at this point. What with me searching (and now having gotten) for a new job, the girlfriend, my brother's wedding (and all the pre-wedding functions that go with it), and NCAA 07, I haven't been able to get Xan around. I wonder who is still around in that iceblock.

Xandalf
10-13-2006, 11:00 AM
Xandalf hunts the rift, which means he spends a lot more time than he'd like down in Icemule.

But yeah, he's there a lot.

Jolena
10-13-2006, 11:10 AM
Yay for being back in Icemule! :D Jolena and Stunseed returned to Icemule a few weeks ago, finally able to hunt the Rift. I haven't had much time to just hang out in TC very often, so not really sure how the town has changed (or hasn't) since we last were there. Noticed Silversoft on the amunet though, so at least one thing hasn't changed. Ugh.

Augie has turned Icemule into a second home because she's been hunting in the Rift and does all of her business in Mule. I haven't been back to the Landing in forever. The only reason I go there now is to do escort tasks.

Evarin began hunting Thurfel's cellar there from as soon as he could survive a hunt until he could not learn there anymore, then did a short stint in Zombies in the Abandoned farm before hunting the Frozen Orchard. Those are definitely among my favorite hunting grounds in the game. Both are very challenging. After a time in River's Rest, Evarin came back to hunt in Pinefar for quite a few levels. I would say I am more attached to Pinefar than the Trace, though.

Grimblade
10-13-2006, 03:22 PM
All of my characters prefer Icemule as well (Fyllon, Risonna and Taliford). Thurfel's Cellar is one crazy place, but I seem to enjoy all of the hunting areas, and the people around more.

First character made started in Icemule, when it was random where you started (and just between WL and IMT) and I guess I just like what I'm used to.

zhelas
10-13-2006, 03:26 PM
Zhelas has moved from Teras to the area. He has been poking his head on Plane 1. Damn chilly up in Pinfar.

Pinefar is great and I thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent there hunting. Despite the fact that polar bears made me wanna cry at their perceptiveness heh!

As for other Icemulian (?) areas, Olbin's Pass and the Sleeping Lady Mountains are by far my favorite hunting areas ever. The loot was great, the creatures were challenging and varied and there are two areas to rest and warm up in so that you never have to come down but for encumberance issues. I spent some of my favorite years in GS on that mountain and really hate that I ever had to leave it. I'm really enjoying it with my younger characters however, so its been fun to re-explore it.

I don't know. I love Olbin Pass and the Sleeping Lady's joint, but I wouldn't call it challenging. This might be an artifact because I've hunted the area since GS 3 (go go level restructuring), and I know it initmately.

But, yes, the loot is great, and if another fucker like Nodyre wants to protect the Ice Giants, I'm going to swear loudly. My main mission in Mule is to rid the damn pass of those fuckers. I came back to the game last year as the quest was winding down. I was upset because there was finally a quest my Faendryl could fit into, other than the GSS, which just didn't jive with me, and the WoN that had nothing that interested me.

But yes, outside of shan, my favorites are definitely the greater ice giant area (Olbin Pass) and up in Pinefar.

Ilvane

It's funny too because I used to not like Icemule, but as things have progressed, I've found it to be a lot more enjoyable these past couple years. I used to always take my characters away from there, but now I really like spending time there with various ones.

Yay for IMT!

Meh. I got my first taste of being verbally jumped in the Trace over the thought net. 7 on 1 arguments are fun, if challenging, though one can never truly walk away feeling the victor.

Very cliquish town, the Trace.

Jolena
10-13-2006, 08:27 PM
Heh. I think all towns, but for the Landing, are cliquish. Solhaven, Rivers Rest, Teras, Icemule being the worst.

Chayy and Panndoris have been around for quite a while and are still usually there.

Satrn pops in from time to time to grace us with her presence.

A few months ago I saw Evangalea wake up a few times, although her invisible lil friend (Cezzane) haven't been seen much.

To go way back old school, people like Cavemann and witches like Morstanya have been gone for quite awhile.

Cavyr, and his whole family, although not as well known, is still around. He was around during the original opening of the rift.

My character, Kontii, loves icemule and am on Teras for a few (5) more trainings till I'm ready to hop in the rift and probably soil my pants.

And of course icemule has a host of the best empaths ever always out savin people, some old, some new but well trained. kuudos to all of ye. I tell you who I'd like to see running amuck again would be Quildor. And someone needs to drag Himmy and his brother back too.

Wish my brother Vinsant was awake more often so I could have a lil more fun RP'ing, along with Faelynna and her pal Melankurion. I kinda miss gettin my mouth washed out with soap by Eva..... Regardless, SORRY FOR THE LENGTHY POST!

I think I saw the same person you saw, named Mortsanya or something like that. Just one letter off. Faelynna and Melankurion came back for about a month earlier this year. I think they may have cooked up WoW too, not entirely sure....

I think everyone should try a taste of icemule. It's got such a great community, because almost everyone (good and evil) is interactive. Although there is probably a lot more squabbles and PvP than say, on Teras, it doesnt make for excitement and entertainment in what can otherwise be a black/white world. No pun intended.

Also some have been blacklisted because of unacceptable behavior.
