I saw this an was like OMG wow we have a local furrier!!! ... we moved to a sort of hillbillyish town and this happened to be boarded up on the side of one of the major roads... I woulda gone in an asked if they buy rat pelts had they not been locked down.

Heh, we have one of those here in my town as well. Then again, I'm a hillbilly from the middle of no where so it's no real surprise.

Each year after hunting we sell them the hide from the deer we slaughter.

There's a place that had a big sign that said "DEER PROCESSING" in Michigan near where my boyfriends family lives... it made me cry. Those poor deer!

Don't cry over the deer, they're all suicidal anyway. I lost track of the number of times just last week I had to come to a screeching halt because anywhere from 1 to 6 deer decided to cross the road right in front of my truck.

The only reason you stopped was because you didn't want to have to clean the truck :p

My family's neighbor is into hunting and then tanning hides. I don't think it's that big of a deal, it's a hobby for some.

I totally woulda done the same thing. Hillbillies are fascinating critters. As long as you don't make eye contact with them.

I heard if you offer a hillbilly 5 nickles they will offer you bread... True story!

I remember when I was a bit younger and i was driving to a friend's college to Albany I saw a sign that read H.R.A.K. But there was some oil like streaks all over the top dripping down and it looked like a T in front of H.R.A.K. and I almost wet myself...
