He is at 9 and can bolt at 135. Has a defence of 120 selfspelled offence and and in defence about 200. I'm currently not on the game for a lil bit im wondering how long will he last in the long run.He is at step 1 in the secret society. His spells are 9 MjE,9 wizard, and 6 MiE. He has no spells to help his bolt as. Asking how long he'll last?

I got bored with mine around level 20. Same training path. I let a friend use her for spells now.

As long as you feel like playing him. There is nothing wrong with a halfling pure mage, in fact it'll play to the race's strengths. These days it's just about impossible to screw up a character, especially with fixskills.

He im thinking if i can master the secret society by 15 should bolt pretty high by 20. Im only using him to put on a seperate account to spell my main character up. But thinking about at later levels he should be better and able to hunt

Yea, but all the ENC checks and climbing with enc as a halfling is enough to make you pull out your hair. That was why I shelf'd mine. I went to RR, and I was like... man she'd never even get across the bay!

I'll put climbing in a lil at a time and swimming. But when he was 3 he got spelled up and solo hunted ghoul masters. my paladin couldnt do that till 9 and he was with someone much higher and he got killed most of the time. so i think he might be alot stronger if i train him right

My paladin fought in the invasion at 14 the really big one and only died 3 times. I redid his skills and he is now pretty powerful. he solo's pookas and he is only 17 and is constantly getting yelled at the ledge

I've tried different types of wizards pure, balanced, and war. War is awsome if you like to kill things with weapons and use a lil magic. balanced is pretty much where i was as an dark elf wizard. and pure seems to take a while to fry because you have to wait for mana. I wanted a harder path so i went with pure and he is strong and doesnt die as quick as the warwizard i made a while back so i like pures and like roleplaying the flirty halfling.

Somehow I just dont think its possible for a 17 to hunt pookas.

Their age alone will bring you to your knees.

Naaaah if you stay in offence and my paladin is fully spelled and has a defence of 240 offence, and he zealot hunts so he is practilly killing them before they have a chance to do anything. its going back to ledge evil steeds

'my paladin's name is Valhadmar he is sometimes on the ledge he goes their solo and ends up hunting withsome about 1/5 the time he is migrating skills and he'll start to hit harder then he did before once he is done so pookas will be no problem ive been hooked on them since he was 14 lol

You'd be right. I have to concentrate at level 27 and even then I can get owned if I'm unlucky. Level 14 is BS.

'no it isnt its awsome that time i was with a good friend who would throw them for me and 17 i can hunt them solo my paladin is awsome i trained him just right so he can fight mostly anything now strongest foe defeated was that sentinel from the invasion

'if you know how to train you should do fine they may take 6 hits to kill because of their high defence and of my lack of laziness not to use 1605 anyway back to pure wizards

You are kidding right? I have never taken longer then 3 days to master COL, and my shortest time to get through was 24 hours.

I doubt the word of someone who doesn't know the basic use of periods and comma's. I doubt a level 14 wizard could even generate enough AS to hit a pooka.

Valhadmar

'at 14 i should probably have a bolt as of 170 by 14 without signs or anything and about 200 with signs and with 513 about 220. but im unlucky with the secret society because all i get in all my characters that went in was no less then 1 hour ant that was pretty lucky and my highert was 525 min

For every answer you get wrong your wait is longer. Don't answer til you're sure it's the right answer. That being said.....how's the bootcamp and your dad's rabbit?

As long as you train right, a halfling pure wizard can be very solid. Being in the secret society definitely helps too so master that ASAP. AT 27, my hobbit mage is currently hunting spectral miners solo (since 25) with a bolt AS of 283 self-spelled and signs (w/o madness). His training is:

3x spells
2x spell aiming
1x hp, miu, scroll, emc
24 ranks of pf
Gets the tertiary skills (perception, climbing and swimming) when affordable.

For about the first 30 levels, I'll be depending on wands to complement my spells since I only single in hp. For added defense, I use scrolls and statues a lot.

Encumbrance was my big problem with my halfling wizard too. Otherwise, halflings are great wizards.

Pookas (33) don't fear, nor do Spectral Miners. (40)

I'm also a halfling wizard who has hunted the ledge since level 25.

I'm currently bolting at 291, level 29.

I don't recommend pookas until you can generate a constant 200+ AS or you have a mana battery following you along.

Pooka's do have a different, level and stance based fear attack.

If you're looking to massively overhunt, as a wizard, try to find an area with some kind of hound.

Back when hounds were abundant outside of the Spider Temple, I could fuck them up with a level 6 wizard.
