I am a music teacher for 7 & 8 grade students. I also direct the chorus.

Last year I decided to do a musical with them.. a full blown production on stage we sold tickets to and everything.

It went really well so this year I figured oh what the heck lets do it again...

Its kinda like giving birth... when its all over you forget the pain and focus on the final product...

Just getting into the rehearsals for MTI's Music Man Junior version.

65 kids on stag dancing and looking good by January...

I am nuts

Just thought to share.

I feel your pain

I was part of a play a couple months ago, it was successful. Audience wanted it back, so we all thought yay lets do it. Mmm.. stress...

Though, it looks like we're going to have to cancel it unfortunately. Male lead got a bad back injury, we can't replace him a few weeks before showtime...

It's like the end of a marathon. You cross the line and tell everyone you know afterwards that it was the best feeling in the world. And over time you forget how painful it was.

Then you go and run it again.

(the above was said with me not having run any kind of marathon, nor having any knowledge to it's difficulty)

Nope...

I am also the assistance band director/bandfront instructor and I spend my whole rehearsals running about yelling

LEFT LEFT LEFT RIGHT LEFT!!

So no they do not...

8th graders get this illness when they start school that year.. they forget all common sense things. If it doesn't have to do with sex they won't remember it

(PS this does not include all 8th graders just the ones I seem to get to work with)

Sometimes I think I have a bug on me but when I go to look there is nothing there. Sometimes though, there is actually a bug which makes it hard to ignore when I get that feeling.

Oh this isn't a general topic about everyone's personal craziness. Oops.

I had a drama teacher that got stoned before rehearsals. It didn't make him not notice when we messed up but it did make him find the whole experience totally funny.

Not that I am advocating the use of pharmaceuticals...

You are the people’s voice. Good for you to stand up.
