Thought I'd throw up something a little lighter than what's been hitting this category lately.
(I was going to make this a poll but the possible choices were way too many.)
If you had to be stranded on a desert island with someone from this forum for, say around 6 months or so, who would you pick? I'm married so I won't go the "I need the companionship of the opposite sex for obvious reasons!" route, though that would be a huge factor if I was single.
I've got 3 folks I can't choose between:
Kranar- I disagree with basically everything he says when it comes to politics but he's so damn articulate. I think we could argue the entire 6 months and still have things to talk about when rescue is inevitable. Plus if we get bored with that, I'm assuming he could teach me advanced physics in his spare time.
Anticor- An ex Marine and a beefy 220. Who better to help with the "grunt" work? He'd also be pretty handy if there were headhunter natives who attacked us monthly 'ala Gilligan's Island. Give him a big stick and say, "Go get 'im big guy". Problem solved, right?
Harmnone- I agree with her on a regular basis so we'd spend a lot of time telling each other how right we were about everything, and with her always referring to herself in the third person it would be like we had three people on the island!
Tough choices....
Who'd you go with and why?

What the hell. Make it a big enough island and we can all go! Oh, and while you are at it, could you make it a forested island with a waterfall, and a babbling brook, with all kinds of harmless little forest animals? I am not fond of deserts. :D

Tsa`ah, cause he's like my dad. Not in a sick way. And not that he's old. He just has mannerisms and advice that remind me of my dad a bit.
SpunGirl, because her and I would probably invent an odd game and become rich once we left.
GS4Gurl, because we'd scream and run away from bugs, and I wouldn't feel like too big of a wuss.
I WOULDN"T choose StrayRogue, because we'd probably end up with children. You bastard.

I'd take either:
Edaarin - He's asian so he doesn't eat much and can forage for rice.
Kranar - He could build us a sea-do and get us the hell out, that or somehow he would get in a fight with space itself and convince it through theorums that it was wrong. This would cause it to fold upon itself and we could walk to Trinidad or some other beautiful place.
Maimara - Just for the kick of watching her and bugs interact. That and if any of the natives get violent I can have her act as our diplomat (they would kill themselves from debate within an hour tops)

I'd just tell them that Anticor is a mean cannibal god, and that if they don't bow to my demands he will eat them all, genitals first.

Anticor - Grunt work, plus I need someone to make fun of and give shit to on a daily basis. With his heritage, he's perfect.
Tsa'ah/Tayvin - He's like a father to me, only one that threatens me with bodily harm on a daily basis. Don't forget your arthritis and Alzheimer's medication! (Tayvin works in this spot also, as they're both pretty ancient and all old people are alike).
Guess I'd have a lottery for the third person, but probably Adhara 'cause she just sounds like a good cook.

Daina: because we see eye-to-eye on lots of things (particularly on the matter of centipedes and other nasty creepy crawlies), and because she's a sweet person in general :)

I'd take Maimara because she's frickin' hilarious and I'm sure we could entertain ourselves for the length of time we're there. That, and I can get her to quit smoking since there's no way she CAN on a deserted Island.
I'd make Tsa'ah go because a) he's a lumberjack-type (he can do the dirty work) and b) He keeps me in check most of the time.
And.... Garr. We'll keep him in a cage and poke him with sharp sticks and cannablize him when we run out of food.
