Who would it be, wether it be someone from these boards or someone legendary?

Easy.
My maternal grandfather who died 10 months before I was born. He was from Russia, was in a work camp... he escaped with the papers he stole off a dead guy. Married my grandmother in Germany (early '40s), and lived under an assumed name for years.

Everytime I saw Jesus posted in this, I thought of the family guy movie when stewie talks about seeing jesus. His miracles were a little exaggerated.

Mine would be someone living.
Meeting someone dead would not change my life in any way.

There's maybe two people I'd want to meet at this moment, both very special to me. I've been through a lot with both of them.

Oh, I take that back about the dead. I'd want to see Darryn one more time, to try to make peace with the situation. I will never get over how he was taken from me by the car accident. Our time together was way too short.

Well, Augustus did want to set an example (by staying married despite the scandals) in and effort to encourage "family values" (nevermind what happened with his daughter) and to reduce the divorce rate.

It's quite ironic that for a man who wanted to promote ideal moral values throughout the Empire was beset with scandals involving his family (not of his own doing).

The Romans generally tried to encourage citizens to stay married and to procreate large families, to keep the population growing.

Wow, what an interesting topic. Lets see...
Meeting someone alive could be arranged, so someone dead would be the most appropriate response. I will have to say 2 people as well...

da Vinci... After all, the "Vitruvian Man" was his idea! (Along with Vitruvius the famous architect)

Thomas Edison...Candles Suck!

Edison didn't invent the lightbulb, he bought the patent.

da Vinci great choice. I always thought the Rambaldi character on the TV show Alias was modelled after da Vinci.

Because of him, the millennium will end in a wash of brilliant light rather than in torchlit darkness as it began. In 1879, Thomas Edison gave humans the power to create light without fire, by inventing a long-lasting, affordable incandescent lamp. Among life's many conveniences we can take for granted, thanks in part to him: copiers, radio, movies, TV, phones (he improved Bell's). On the night after his funeral, Americans dimmed their lights for the man who lit up the world. TIME

My Uncle Eddie on my dad's side. How he died is so shady it would be very interesting to hear the real story. My Uncle was protesting against the building of a highway through their neighborhood and SUPPOSEDLY my Aunt was sleeping with one of the contractors. Word is it from my dad's family that he went to the contracting trailer to confront the guy and a fire started in it and he died.

The strange thing about it was, was the trailer door was locked from the outside but he made no attempt to burst his way out of the window. And guess what, my Aunt didn't want an autopsy to find out how he died.

This of course all happened before I was born. But I hear great stories about the guy and I think it would be very interesting to hear what happened, and hear about how my dad was when he was younger.

Tromp, just put an add on a personal's page. I'm sure you could find someone who thinks Scat is just AWESOME. If you can't have one wacko, another will probably do.
