How many "Ahas" seperate each rank of specific artisan skill? (i.e. -- the amount of "ahas" between highly skilled laborer and master artisan for, say... crafting?)

I am noticing a pattern of tremendously slowed pace ever since accumulating my highly-skilled laborer ranking and was wondering how much pain I would have to endure.

.

As an aside, does anyone know whether using stat enhancing maneuvers or items, like Surge of Strength or anything else that affects the enhanced bonus, will directly affect the outcome of crafting and/or forging?

Thanks! :w00t:

100.

I've heard that (statistically) 470something ranks is the halfway point, time-wise.

I don't know if high Str bonus enhances success rates, but I'm positive it won't help you get an Aha!

Are ahas completely random in lieu of any stats or levels a character may have?

I ask this because I'm 440-450ish and it's already taking me very close to around two, three or even four hours to get even one "Aha."

Yea.... Back when Mikos was active, he would come chat with me for hours in the forage, it helped the time go by.

But around AHA #489 I could NOT gain any more Ahas... It took over 100 hours to get from 489 to 495, on top og the already 100 hours to get to 489. We found that I was bugged, because I wasn't rolling a 1d500.

But, back to your question. The way things go, you need the next number higher to get another aha. So if you are at rank 450, the only way yer getting another rank is if you roll a 451+ on a 1d500. Yes, certain classes and races get a bonus, but not to the actual learning a new aha.

Also... It is my firm belief that blacksmiths in days of auld were completely deranged anti-socializers and worshipped/talked daily to the Frog Goddesses.

A high enough logic stat will give you a +1 to your 1d500.

And I found the racial/profession mods:

Crafting:

Thief, Ranger - no handicap

Warrior - small handicap

Bard, Empath, Cleric - significant handicap

Sorcerer,Wizard - significant handicap

Forging:

Warrior - small bonus

Thief

Ranger, Bard

Empath, Cleric

Sorcerer, Wizard

Racial modifiers are ranked as follows:

Crafting:

Dwarves - bonus

Elves, Dark Elves - bonus

Others - no modifier

Sylvankind - handicap

Forging:

Dwarves - small bonus

Elves, Dark Elves - small bonus

Others - no modifier

Sylvankind - small handicap

p.s: This is 4-year-old data (hence none of the n00b races/professions), but it's straight from Mikos.
