I needed to get something to eat for lunch the other day at work, so I stopped off at a supermarket (Sainsburys) and got myself one of the salads from the deli counter, thinking I was doing myself a favour and eating healthily.
48 hours later, about 15 of those hours spent throwing my guts up, and I'm quite happily rethinking that.
Food poisoning is the sux0rz

Yah, that sucks hardcore. I got food poisoning once from lettuce. The worker had apparently sprayed cleaning solution on the counter and it got on the lettuce and I got served it. :(

If you can utilize the squirts you probably have, you can paint people funny colours.
Get better.

It was veggies, but there was rice stuff in it too, which I am assuming was the problem

Make sure you keep drinking water hon, you will probably be dehydrated. If you still feel sick, Pepto Bismol is great, I used to just swig it out of the bottle when I had food poisoning in Greece. Hope you feel better!

Goes to show you that eating healthy is hard.

about 15 of those hours spent throwing my guts up, I can relate except it was a result of taking a bunch of multi-vitamins on an empty stomach early in the morning. It's a relief to finally be done with it, but you still feel it for quite some time after. Eat as light as possible for the next couple of days and drink lots of liquids.
I had heard the number one cause of food poisoning is from employees who don't wash their hands after defecating, then they go and handle food or perhaps in your case make a salad.

That was a charming post.
Salad bars are never a good idea.

Man I bet your one physically drained woman after that. Kicking the ass of whoever sold it to you is in order I say. Hope you feel better quickly and like everyone else said drink lots of fluids.

I dunno if it's available on the civilian market, but if you can get ahold of some cipro it will make you right again. It cured lots of people who were exploding out both ends overseas from the nasties hiding in the food. On another note, salad is evil! stick to stuff like steak, potatoes, potato chips, beer, chicken, anything else bbq can be poured on, and white bread w/o the extra vitamins superimposed in it.

Cipro is a prescription medication. One must see the Doctor to get it.
Anything fried or heavily cooked will kill bacteria even bacteria from cooks bums.
