Lost between Icemule Trace and Pinefar.

Please, if anyone has picked it up, or knows someone who did... contact me!

The show can be verified. It's a very sentimental piece.

I know from experience that the trail from Icemule to Pinefar gets "Janitorized" quite often.

If you think it may have been, and ONLY if you're pretty sure about this, U2U me and I'll give you an idea on how to retrieve it, though nothing's guaranteed.

How did you lose a weapon up there? Nothing disarms/curses that I've ever seen or know of.

Mighta been a PUT FALCHION typo and dropped it.

:sighs: Yes, it was a typo error and accidentally dropped it.
I was hoping someone had seen it and picked it up, and not the janitor.

Use sheath and unsheath!

Macros or scripts to prep ensure it never happens again.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that you can bring back a permadeleted characted, but they won't help you if you lose a one-of-a-kind weapon to the damn janitors.

The weapon isn't replaceable, period. It was a specially made weapon.

Gemstone may be losing several accounts soon if they will not budge on this.

At least a bit ago they had a policy that they would replace one item per account (maybe character) but one time only. Sometimes they are even a bit more flexible than that, Fallen has vaped his shield, what, 10 times now?

Why should they budge? It was your fault right? I don't mean to sound harsh but if you lose something then well it is just gone.

To say you will close accounts due to something you did to yourself is kind of silly. If the game crashed and your weapon poofed that is one thing, this was just a sad event that they don't have to fix for you.

Sucks but hell they wouldn't even replace an item of mine lost due to a crash.

Isn't it true that if you reroll a character, and decide it was a bad decision afterwards, that you can pay to get that character back?

Same concept.

The falchion was accidentally dropped, character ringed out of the area, ring was navved, once the character got back to the ringed spot, it was gone. There should be other options than just a 'Sorry! Too bad'. See, again, above concept.

I won't get into why the falchion was so important. It's not my character. If they feel they want to explain that, it's their choice. I'll link them to here again.

I lost my claid due to a brain fart as well. Khaladon confirmed the janitor did not pick it up, so a player probably had it. There was nothing he could do as the gemstone policy does not cover brain farts. Person who has said claid is now desperately trying to sell it instead of being a man and returning it, I even told them I'd give a reward, but they would rather be a douche. 30mil claid down the toilet, same day I got it, all because of a typo. Sucks, but they can't do anything.

The guy who I think has it (only person to even admit anything about it), though a "friend of a friend" of his has it has been Loim, who is controlled by the player of Rorac)

The concept of I made a mistake now fix it for me or I will close accounts is absurd, regardless of how special said item is. The game didn't take it away, sadly it was a mistake on your part and Simu is not responsible for that.

I feel bad you lost an important item, but the fact still remains that Simu does not have to fix anyones flubs regardless of the sentimental value of an item. Simu is disneyfied enough at this point IMHO.

I hardly think a "you fucked up, get over it" attitude constitutes being disneyfield.

I was referring to Simu say giving someone back a weapon in this case to keep a customer happy. As I said while it sucks to have lost it Simu isn't mom who picks up after you at home.

Leetahkin

If that were true (that Simu doesn't have to fix your mistakes), then Simu then wouldn't have the option of the player paying to get a rerolled character back, a mistake they made. Why is it not feasible for a player to pay to get back a unique weapon that was lost?

And considering this is the first flub said character has made in many many years of playing and PAYING to play, there should be other options. Not to mention it appears the janitor snatched it. The person who assisted with the referral was vague about it, which was odd.

Gemstone is an investment. Take away an investment that took years (rl years) to accomplish and acquire, then tell me you wouldn't be pissed off and wanted to drop Gemstone.

I have other reasons for contemplating leaving GS, but this isn't about me.

Personally, I thought the one time replacement policy was a good one. You couldn't keep tying up resources but if you made one mistake it was taken care of.

I've sent in requests to have the opposite of the command GIRD for us to use to put our weapons away... especially after I had a key-fart and dropped a 6x shield in order to pick some boxes on the dais. I was lucky enough to RP it out and finally have it returned by the invisible 'snatcher' who picked it up under the guise of invisibility.

From this point forward I'm wearing my shield and using the sheath command as my standards for putting up my armament.

I did lose a weapon due to a game crash, it was registered and it was the games fault. I assisted and I was told sorry but we can't get it back for you. So yes it has happened to me and the worst part was it was an ice age weapon who belonged to a friend.

That wont work if either a) you didnt register the items and b) you dropped it or critter disarmed/cursed/etc, as per what Khaladon said. Option a obviously depends on the GM, but basically just register everything, use exchange for everything, and so forth. I was hating GS for like a week when I lost my claid. I got over it, accepted the fact I am broke now, and moved on.

Ouch Bratt, I'd surely die if I lost a friends item. I try not to borrow things from people if I can help it.

Personally I use stow or macros for everything and I have scripts that I use to pick up and drop items just to be sure I don't drop anything stupid or put it anywhere I don't mean to. I still think it's a good policy though, I know they did it for several people on the boards before.

In my case I was testing it right outside the gates. It was like 2am, I was dead tired, and for some reason I typed drop instead of stow. I didnt even realize it until I got to my locker, then I adopted one hell of a "holy fucking shit" face, ran back and it was gone. Took all of 15 seconds.

I apologized over and over, he said it was not my fault and I had made sure to register it to me just in case. Sadly that didn't even help.

You could tell your friend to delete his character, spend $250 to get the character restored to the day before he lost the blade?

That's not a bad idea. I bet it would work.

I know they still have that one time thing cause I know someone who had something replaced a few weeks ago.
