So lets say I re activate an account I haven't used since 1999/2000. It was premium.

Will I have all the premium points because the start date was like 98?

How does that work...

However many you had accrued, unless you pay the interval...

The Ponzzz

So I won't get points from 99-05 right? Just the ones I got back in 98-99?

StrayRogue

Yes.

Is the premium point system already in tact?

If not, how long, would someone with a good estimate say that it will start rolling in..?

Just before EG is my guess...

Khal posted something on the officials to the point of "If all goes well, we'll be testing the points system this week".... which means another week or three, which'll put right before EG.. *snicker*

Ok I don't mean to sound clueless but what is the point system?

Basically Simu is converting their yearly premium rewards system into a Point System.

Each month, a premium account gains 1 point.

They have a whole list of things you can get with the points. The alter scrolls themselves are only 6 points now, so you can get two a year instead of one.

I think the type ahead line is like 9. Pre-scripted items are only 3 points.

You can get things enchanted and padded too. There's a formula for it that I don't recall off the top of my head.

Item

Pre-Scripted item - 3

Alter scroll - 6

Autoscripter - 6

Titles - 12

***This is a planned feature and not available at this time.

EZscript - 18

Lighten/Deepen - 6

Typeahead - 9

Enhansive ? level 1 or 2 - 18

Enhasnsive ? level 3 or 4 - 24

Flare - Variable

For items up to +20, a point cost equal to the 5 + (Enchant/2). Round all answers up.

For items over +20, a cost of 15 + (Enchant ? 20). Adding flares to a 6x weapon would cost 25 points. For a 10x weapon the cost would be 45 points.

Enchant - Variable

For this enchant service, the item?s enchant is increased by 5. The cost should be equal to the new Plus of the item. If the item has flares or special scripting, add 10 to the cost. If the item has padding/weighting, add (2 x level of padding/weighting) to the cost.

Retaining blessability is 5 additional points.

Exception: For claidhmores, the cost is (40 + 2x) the new Plus. Only new style claidhmores can be modified with Premium Points.

Examples: Taking a normal weapon from 4x to 5x would cost 25 points. Taking a normal steel claidhmore from 0x to 1x would cost 50 points. Taking a flaring 9x weapon to 10x would cost 60 points.

Padding - Variable

This one needs two modifiers: one for enchant, one for the amount of padding being added.

The cost is (2x Special) + Plus.

Example: So for 4x leathers with heavy critical padding, the cost is 20 + 20 = 40 points.

So, if you want to spend it, you can spend 70 points for 10x padded armor? (5.75 years of points).

The limit on padding is the assessment which is rated heavy.

expensive points for the high end stuff but I've already been hording points for the last 2 years so I should be close to getting some high end enchants. Will be nice to have access to enchanting weighted or padded equipment. Not to mention having more high enchanted blessable equipment. I'm looking forward to the point system. One of the better releases they've done yet as far as I'm concerned.

it hasn't started yet. We're EXPECTING it to start near Ebon's Gate. we get 1 point for every month you are a premium account.

Hopefully it will look to when you last used your alter scroll or whatever you collected. It will suck if they start the point system from scratch.

mgoddess

It'll be retro. For every month of paid Premie time on your account, you'll get a point.

(Of course, I haven't read anything yet on how they'll be deducting points for premie services already used....)

It is the total from the day you started premium, minus anything you used. It works great for folks who already got alterations, they will only deduct six points instead of a whole year.

:D

They've been removed for the moment to facilitate the introduction of the points system.

StrayRogue

It means we have to wait until the new system comes in or they restart the lighthouse normally.

Someone said that the points will be retro to an account if it was reactivated after a few years of not being active?

I was Premium for about 2-3 years before I left for a few years.

Really hate to burst bubbles but...

I don't know what you plan on getting done with 24 points(2 years of points). I mean moving one item from even 7x to 8x would cost 40 points if the item is just plain jane.

This system opens up tons of room for imagination but it would take decades to acquire enough points to move a set of gear to god mode.

<< points will be retro to an account >>

You should get one point per month that you were premium.
