avatar issues

I'm bored with my current avatar... so I tried to upload a new one from my laptop... only everytime I add and hit the update/edit button it keeps throwing my old avatar back up there. Is there a hidden buffer that I need to erase???

I find that if you delete your old one first and removed the url from your setting. Then upload your new one it works. Usually I just have to refresh my profile too though to see it.

try refreshing the browser as well. Especially if you are using firefox.

The most common issue I think would be the desired avatar being too large.

I know firefox doesn't let you post photos , and while avatars may work differently, I could not change mine recently until I tried using IE.

I finally saw the brief millisecond message that the avatar was too large, even though it was smaller in pixel size than the one I was replacing.

I deleted cookies, history, and offline files (cleaned brower house) and then uploaded a new one finally. All seem to be working now.

Filesize is also a factor. 99999 bytes is the max, I think.
