I've lived on my own before... well not alone alone but with a roomate. And on campus there is an ad for a room (he had pictures) for only 250 a month w/utilities included. I could totally afford that. I'm checking out the apartment in 30 minutes :) I'll take pictures and hopefully get out of my mom and grandpa's hair.
fuckin' every night.

Ish. Sorry, hon. I hope you find something you like and can afford, though. It's always great to be on one's own. :)

I'm not in a major rush, my mother just had hand surgery and I wanna stay here till she's better from that. Hopefully next monthish.
Eep.. I'm afraid of anything would cost $250 a month!

Don't pay under $1000 dollars for a studio.
That is all.

Real-estate agent, no matter how savvy you think you are at scouting on your own, you're not.

If you have to get your mom and/or grandfather to co-sign in order to circumvent policies, so be it.
Seeing the board of a co-op, sublet and rentals, before paper-work even becomes an issue, will help tremendously before there's a discrepancy about a tangible policy that will immediately get you turned down on all further visits/inquiries. Explain this to your agent.

Wait, if I paid 1000 for a studio here, why the fuck wouldn't I just rent a whole house for 500 a month?
Yes, Wisconsin is cheap.

Yeah this is Indiana, where Jenisi is also. My house is only 1000 a month and it's over 2000 sq ft. No way you'd have to pay that much for a studio up in SB where she is.

:laughs: We pay less than that for a three bedroom.

My first apartment was 85 bucks a month. One bedroom, living room, kitchen, bath, private entrance and use of the yard. Utilities included. Very quiet and clean, nice neighborhood, half a block from the bus stop. Less than half an hour from down town. Hmmmm, I want that apartment back.
Granted this was Pittsburgh in 1977... And I was making $3.11 an hour, with most of my friends being very jealous that I had such a great job.
You could pay a $1000 (Cdn) for a studio in Toronto but what student can afford that?

Depending on what exactly you do...yes. Insurance has jobs everywhere. Salary might be lower though.
