It's a neat looking spider....I don't really have a fear of spiders, seeing as I used to collect black widows as a kid.

Believe it or not, Artha, as a result of this post, I woke up at 5 AM from a dream about this particular spider. I fell back asleep pretty soon, but thanks a lot, jerk.

Spiders are pretty. Except for those wolf spiders that make those HUGE EVIL SCARY WEBS in the middle of the running trails at Jesse Jones Park because its like, in a marsh or something. So I dont see them in the woods off the trail. No. Never. They only decide to camp their multicolored insect asses *right* where my face will be bobbing by at 6oclock a.m. while I try to wake myself up with a little morning run. Ouch too.

I am not sure what kind of spiders are making webs from one of my trees to the chain link fence but let me tell you when I stumble into it walking the dog at 5:30am limbs are flailing wildly.

I hate spiders and the mere sight of them causes my flee instinct to kick in.

I hop about a bit and squeal like a stuck pig. I've been told its amusing. And then every leaf that falls on my head afterwards warrants an OMFG GET IT OFF GET IT OFF!!

They seem like perfectly harmless creatures to me until there is a huge one in my hair and then i go bonkers.

All things have a function, including spiders. They don't give me warm fuzzies, and goddamnit I was expecting puppy pictures!, but I can appreciate them for their place in the world. Plus, I fucking detest mosquitos, which is why I also love bats :D .
