Very interesting view. I think it's the responsibility of the people doing testing to ensure that the animals are treated with dignity and respect. Showal and I had an interesting discussion about this in another thread, though I think people allow themselves to be disillusioned toward research from the sensationalism that follows any sort of high profile issue (ie bad eggs).

I wonder what opinion these two hold on stem cell research.
