God damn. Sometimes it seems like I feel like Im stuck being alone for the rest of my life. Just me and the kids. Although I know it's probably not true, I cant help but having these feelings once in a while. It seems like it's all work work work, come home, take care of the kids. Wash, rinse, repeat. And the little time that I do have off to enjoy myself, I spend time with the girls trying to make the most of the time I have with them before they grow up on me. Oh the joys of being a single parent.
So, if you ever have had, or are having one of those kinda nights. Feel free to be sad here with me damnit.
*** Edited to add:
Man I really need to figure out what song it was that brought this on.

Just remember you have the only thing in life that really matters. The only thing that really belongs to you.

I'm sad, too.
Recently began to realize how scared I am of dying

I know how you feel,i get that at times too hon.
Although it's not helpful at all I couldn't help but to chuckle when I saw this...
Not sad, man.
I'm happy I spent another day with the girl.
I do feel it's wash, rinse and repeat sometimes though.
You know, sometimes something really cool happens.
Especialy when you're just used to the same old, same old.
Wether it be a Lady for you. Or a new word from one of your girls.
I know how you feel, friend.
One minute life's crazy and totally on top of you.
The next, thank god, there's someone / something to make it ALL completely worthwhile.

happy birthday hon :) May a very hot, mostly naked male spring from your cake wearing a fig leaf.
I get that feeling sometimes, but mostly it's because I'm starting to feel old, and I'm panicking. It's not really the age; it's the mileage, and I've been toting around a very destructive autoimmune illness for about 11 years now, so I'm worried it's going to catch up to me soon.

You're starting to feel old? I haven't even been carded the past 4 times I've been to a bar or liquor store... I'm still 23.

Your lifespan, according to all statistical data, will be much longer than mine.

Too me there's nothing scarier than dying. And the reason people are afraid of most things is because they're afraid they could die from it. Heights falling to doom, terrorism etc. Sometimes I get so caught up in dwelling on death I forget to live....fuck that I forget my name. I've also found I have an overwhelming sense of apathy.

Aww, Squishy! You're not alone, darlin'. You have all of us, and those wonderful kids! Besides that, you've got you! What more could anybody want?
Seriously, I think everybody has those moments in time when they think: "What the hell is this all about?" Thing is, it's a new day tomorrow, and still another the next day. It's one step at a time and leave yesterday behind. The future has surprises, some good and some not so good. I'll take the not so good just for a chance at the good. :)

I understand how you feel. I am a single mother. Sometimes I think that I am going to be alone forever, that my life will never change and that I am stuck in the rut that is parenthood. I love my son more than words can say, but sometimes I wish there was more in my life. Then I remember that in 4 years my son is 18 and out he goes. So I plan for now and when that time comes. The worst that you think it is when you have your kids running around and making you pull your hair out it's worse when they are gone for a while hehe. All I can say to you is that where you are now is not where you will be forever. All things change with time.. enjoy the time with your kids now and when you feel down, remember things they do that made you laugh dispite making you crazy at the same time (such as the portrait my darling son drew on our wall when he was 6 of me in permanent marker.. landlord LOVED that). Not only is it normal to feel down at times, it's bound to happen. Allow the feeling to pass when it's ready. Unless it's the way you feel a lot.. don't worry about it. :)

Well,I am not a single parent. But I still do get depressed sometimes. My husband can't work because he has to stay home and take care of his mother.I am the only one working so it gets to me sometimes.I know he gets depressed being around the house alot too.Everywhere I turn around there are more bills, more things to be done, and less time with my husband and son.And time for myself..I think I have given up on that one.

Happy belated birthday. I think I have worked or been in school for every birthday. Maybe I should start taking the day off?

Catastrophic, unintended, unforeseen consequences.
Loss of nerve.
Dying/death is extremely rough, but there are so many (IMO) worse alternatives.
As for depression, someone should do a study to see wtf is so depressing about nighttime. I *never* get depressed during the day.
I get the most depressed during the day. I hate it. In fact, my next tattoo is going to reflect it. During the night I'm alive and I love it. I feel great.

Not that dying wouldn't be scary, but I think I'd be more afraid of the pain involved before dying as opposed to the dying part itself.
Would you be more scared of being shot in the head, or being burned to death?
