Clapton (though Carlos is awesome he can't compete with The Yardbirds, Blind Faith, Cream, Derrik and the Dominos all of which Clapton was in.)

John (based on his old stuff meaning stuff before Bennie and the Jets basically)

Zeppelin (Zeppelin is about the sex; Floyd is about the drugs; but I'm a Zeppelin fan)

Henley (though Mellencamp has had several good lightweight songs, Eagles would put Henley above him) I probably would have thrown Tom Petty in this catagory.

Floyd is arguably the greatest band ever. Barenaked Ladies are damn close though I don't think it's nearly as close between Floyd and Zeplin as you are making it out to be but that's why I'm asking for opinions. Thus far I'm trouncing my coworkers so many thanks to all you cats with good taste in music. :smug:

Pink Floyd makes me sleepy, but I think that's because my friend would put it on after we'd been out partying and I'd as I was never sober I'd fall asleep. So now, I get sleepy when I hear them.

Anyone ever done The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wizard of Oz thing?

If you think Barenaked Ladies are even close to as good as either Zep or Floyd, you lose all credibility, heh.
