Old, but extremely funny. This is why I make fun of D&D people with normal people.

That is what someone posted on my school forum on myspace.com in a thread that I asked if someone was retarded because they tried to make fun of me for misspelling fuck in saying "lol fuk u."

I once watched my little brother who was nine at the time play. He played with a bunch of High School kids at a gaming shop in town and I came to pick him up 15 min early to watch a bit.
He'd do dumb crap like shoot the darkness too. Obviously everyone was tired of him wasting time by the look on their face.
I forgot what he did, but the person who was running it ( I forget what they are called), got pissed and ended up sending something out to kill him before he could do anything else.
I don't know why they tolerated him...I think because they had no one else to play with.
Replace the words "my brother" with "I" and we'll have a truthful story.

I believe that is from the credits of the PS2 game Summoner (or maybe Summoner 2). Pretty sure you could view the video when you finished the game.
I think it's supposed to be poking fun at the creators of the game.

When "I" was nine, I was living with my grandparents who thought D & D was the devil.
I played maybe once or twice and then got bored of it. Why sit around and wait forever for someone to do something dumb when you can go and play pretty much the exact same thing through GS.

No, but if you'd like to throw this thread off topic, keep going.

No one who pays to pay a text based MMORPG has much room to knock on their family members for playing one that involves actual interaction with real people. The point here is that the video was funny, so, if anybody it'd be you who'd be off topic, GSLady17.

Not really considering the thread is about D & D Nerds. Which I find hilarious since in my eyes its the same thing as GS.

And now you're... nevermind, it isn't worth it. It's sort've like that scene at the fast food place in Dude, Where's My Car? talking to you.

I think the problem here is that Arkans left out a few words. Allow me to fix it:
Replace the words "my brother" with "I" and apply it to GS and we'll have a truthful story.

They did a second installment of the Dead Ale Wives Club which was funny. Thats what that D&D skit was called by the way. God I am a freaking Geek. I can't seem to find the second one to share anywhere though. :( But it was just as funny. The Mountain Dew guy is back for more. :D

There are people who are not Geeks that play D&D.
I am 39 (end of this month) started playing in 1976. I have played many other games that range far and wide from D&D.
I am also a Computer Professional.
I resent any implication that might associate me with the Freak... err Geek Squad by Best buy.
That is where my geekiness ends. I have two big toys that gas has made hurt a bit. - 93 Eddie Bauer Bronco and a 70 Monte Carlo SS. With the gas prices I drive my wifes 93 Ranger standard :( to work and she drives my Bronco....
D&D is NOT just for Geeks.
Vin Diesel plays,
Robin Williams plays,
Not sure how many others play as well but there are a lot of celebrities who do.

Rivers Cuomo plays.
Err, wait, didn't lose geek status on that one.
:grins:
It's about word reclamation.
