The mayor and town council of Icemule Trace have determined the date for the celebration of the triumph over the v'reen morphs. It will officially be called the Festival of Sorrow, and it will be held on the evening of Volnes, Jastatos 6. Due to his direct involvement in the crisis, Councillor Larchus will be overseeing the event; the mayor himself is not expected to attend, as, like many, he is currently grieving a death in his family.
The festival will begin at eight hours past noon by the elven standard. It will commence in the Temple with a ritual of respect for the dead, proceed to a ceremony outside the Town Hall to honor those who protected and aided the city, and then culminate in food, merriment, and the celebration of the city's continued survival at the Honeybeer Inn.
Halflings and non-halflings, citizens and travellers, gamblers, drunkards, upright citizens, and wandering sorcerers -- all are welcome in this celebration of community and the Paradis spirit.
As designated guests of honor, and because of their diligent efforts to protect Icemule Trace during the invasions of the v'reen, the following adventurers are specifically invited to attend:

No list of those who helped in the crisis could possibly be long enough to honor everyone who helped to protect Icemule and to vanquish the v'reen -- and many valiant deeds performed in other cities by those who fought the morphs, which may go unsung in the passage of time. May these few stand as representatives for all those who worked to protect and aid in a time of suffering, with hearts bolstered rather than dejected by the honor bestowed upon them.
