Thanks to Sidrik and Shaelun for earlier discussion on psinet.

Anyone wanna post logs of 1030 kills, with their skills and whats in their hands. Wondering if 1x manip with a two-handed instrument is overkill. Can it really kill on 109 endroll.

Gnimble, you seem to be the oldest pure bard, mind posting yer training plan.

I managed 242 CS at 50 trains in my training plan, but I heard that was low. Anyone in their 30s, 40s or 50s could they tell me what they hunted and their CS, how they did?

With 2x brawling and 1x shield, if nothing else I still hunt by 1005ing stuff and aiming, right? Even with no CM, I should be able to hit the stuff I am for with a sonic fist-scythe, ya think? cause its so light?

Anyone have a way to make a physical swinging bard that stil has the CS to hit like level? It seems like you either use 1030 and have a decent CS, or you're physical and only have the CS to underhunt.

Gnimble relys on his Voln Fu for physical.

I may have a log of one of his 1030's from when he was around 63ish -- I've seen him kill on lower than a 109 though.

Every now and again you get lucky and kill on a 102 with DC or something, but is 1030 pretty consistent with kills on low endrolls? That might make my CS a bit more easier to stomach.

Yeah Janarth... I think Gnimble was saying/showing that 1030 will consistantly kill on a 105ish or so if it hits a vital area.

Or you could be a Soulpieced bard and just have everything.

I hear Soulpieced bards smell like sour breast milk!

You weave another verse into your harmony, directing the sound of your voice at a hunch-backed dogmatist.
CS: +349 - TD: +271 + CvA: +25 + d100: +22 == +125
Warding failed!
A hunch-backed dogmatist reels under the force of the sonic vibrations!
Sound waves disrupt for 48 damage!
... 70 points of damage!
The hunch-backed dogmatist's midsection swells painfully then bursts, sending the hunch-backed dogmatist everywhere.
The hunch-backed dogmatist awkwardly staggers backwards, falling to his knees. "Why hast ye forsaken me m'lord, served you well I did!" beckons the dogmatist in a desperate prayer.

The dogmatist then goes oddly still.

Sing Roundtime 3 Seconds.

Warding failed!
A hunch-backed dogmatist reels under the force of the sonic vibrations!
Sound waves disrupt for 51 damage!
... 60 points of damage!
Both the hunch-backed dogmatist's kidneys rupture. Death is quick and painful.
The hunch-backed dogmatist lies weakly upon the floor. "Why hast ye forsaken me m'lady, served you well I did!" beckons the dogmatist in a desperate prayer.

Silence hangs heavy in the air as the dogmatist exhales his final breath, collapsing lifelessly to the ground.

Sing Roundtime 3 Seconds.

Those were my two lowest death rolls from my last hunt. 70 bard songs, 45 minor elemental, 70 manipulation ranks.

You weave another verse into your harmony, directing the sound of your voice at a dhu goleras.
CS: +349 - TD: +273 + CvA: +25 + d100: +11 == +112
Warding failed!
A dhu goleras reels under the force of the sonic vibrations!
Sound waves disrupt for 40 damage!
... 70 points of damage!
Heart explodes rupturing the dhu goleras's chest.
The dhu goleras opens her mouth wide and lets out a choked, shrill scream and her eyes cloud over to a solid milky white as she collapses and dies.

Sing Roundtime 3 Seconds.

If by "pussies" you mean "fucking awesome", you are absolutely correct.

1x manip would be over kill . . . IF you are using a two-handed instrument. I wrote a formal write up of 1030. Post on the officials and Krakii will repost my report. It tells all there.

I'll get a 1030 shot in a moment.

basically - as long as it hits a vital area (head, neck, l eye, r eye, chest, back, abdomen) the creature is dead since I auto ward everything with a high enough outcome.

I dropped down from 524 CS to 490 so I could pick up 1x perception, 100 air lore and 2x shield. My CS is more then sufficient. I guess now that I'm capped I'll work back up to 2x spells. However, I really care since I don't play gnimble much anymore.

I like this one:

You weave another verse into your harmony, directing the sound of your voice at a banshee.
CS: +240 - TD: +179 + CvA: +25 + d100: +83 == +169
Warding failed!
A banshee reels under the force of the sonic vibrations!
Sound waves disrupt for 41 damage!
... 40 points of damage!
Brutal blow to the neck sends head flying!
The head floats up and settles back in place as easily as a hat.
What is this, a haberdashery?
