I understand what you're saying, I certainly can't handle liquor but don't have issues if I stick to beer (but comeon' ... someone says 'lets do whiskey shots' and they've got me!), so I'm not going to call out at you like I'm on some high horse, the big difference though is I don't have kids... I certainly don't blame Jen for wanting to get them out of the house if you were drinking 1.75s just to stay stave off the DTs. Real cool that she's fine with you casual drinking, it just takes a lot more willpower to turn down liquor after a few casual drinks, so stay strong for your girls. That said if you're ever in my neck of the woods I'd gladly have a beer with you.

Plus it's nice when you're done hitting the slopes to drive 10 minutes and crash instead of having to do the whole 2 hour trek back.

There's a ski train (http://www.wachusett.com/TheMountain/DirectionsHours/SkiTraintoWachusett/tabid/66/Default.aspx) to Wachusett. Goes to Fitchburg (commuter rail, from N. Station), then you take a 20 minute shuttle. Never tried it, but see they have it.
