I went to the KC Ren Fest today and had a freaking blast. I asked a group of wenches if I could take a picture with them, and they totally felt me up (it's an act, and not as much as I wanted them too). Afterward two of them put on their lipstick and kissed me on each cheek leaving red lips, it was such a good time! I'll have to go again before they are done for the year. I love these things, I feel like I fit right in.

So I just assumed there was some sort of restriction on our guys over there taking pictures while they're fighting.

Scott and I went as Cesar and Cleopatra. I'm a cheapskate and refuse to spend over 30 bucks on a costume. So, I made the jewelry, made (sewed, can you believe, it I can SEW) Scott's costume, and got my dress second-hand and did some alterations on it. I think the total cost spent on our costumes was 40 bucks.

edit: I should add -- the lower the waist of the jean, the thinner they make you look UNLESS they're really tight jeans that show a hip bubble over the band. That's just... painful. Flat front pants and twill are also great ideas for slimming, but twill screeches in pain whenever you show it a washing machine. (I like the washed out twill look on my industrial dresses).
