Has anyone had any experience with this employment agency? They have a PLETHORA of job listings I am super qualified for which resulted in a viagra like response.

Just curious before I venture head first into their world.

They dealt very nicely with me. I didn't end up getting the related job but they were just about the most pleasant people I've dealt with, agency wise.

Don't accept anything they offer you till the 3rd offer unless you are really strapped for $. They have a huge spread between what they job it for vs what they are paid.

Ah that's cool. Did you feel you like you should have gotten the related job? Did they offer you another? MORE I DEMAND MORE. ^please.

I felt like I should've gotten the job... but I understood why they went with someone older for the position.

They offered me another (temp) that I was very satisfied with while the contract ran.

They were okay when I used them...although, I believe that most of the people who work there do not look at themselves as the HR Rep-type. I think a lot of them are ex-business people using this as their own temp position until they secure something else.

Although that's pretty irrelevant to your question.

I utilized them, they were nice and had an array of positions that were in my field. However, I snabbed a great job without them.

Note: However, it was not tech, it was finance.

I went in for an "interview" with Robert Half. They told me I would need to take a test on my skills.

After acing the test, I told them any developer job that requires a test, is insane and left. ::shrugs:: Didn;t like their atmosphere.

That's good to know. I like how they list a pay range and such for most of their positions. Some of the other agencies are top secret about that shit.

I have used Robert Half to hire people for our firm and found them pretty good. Although some of their reps are a little on the junior side. I have never used them to find a job for myself. They get a mark-up between between what they pay the person and what they charged me but they had to pay for all income taxes, Canada pension plan, Canada employment insurance, worksman's compensation and all other insurance. They also paid for training costs in some areas.

Well of course they are on the "junior" side it is technology were talking about here. Not hotel management.. that field has all the seniors.

I dunno if he was referring to the tech portion. They also have an accounting side and some other divisions.

I meant the reps at Robert Half, not the people they send you. I didn't use the tech side. I used the accounting/finance side.
