Dynia was for sure and I am pretty sure, but not positive that it was Andreal who were both on OOC talking about not leaving Sunday night. You might add them to the list. Maybe they are duplicates of the above. Not sure.

Yep. Methais is currently online on AIM and has been for the last 2 days. I havn't had a chance to talk to him though.

I spoke to Lucos' player today, briefly, as he has no means of recharging his cell phone. He is okay, and with another family member. Extent of personal losses is unknown, as he didn't have time to go into it. Glad he is alive. He did mention queues for water, etc.. and that he had to go.

The Volfe you see ingame is not the Volfe we are talking about. that is the new Volfe, we are talking about the Old Volfe. but she is accounted for also.

The devestation caused by Hurricane Katrina is all over the news, all over the internet...it's incredible to think that such a disaster can happen so close to us, but it has. Like many other people, I wanted to help, very badly wanted to help, but I wasn't sure how. Sure, I could afford to donate $10 or $20 to the Red Cross, but that's just a drop in the bucket to what celebrities are donating, and it seemed so faceless, so impersonal.

Then I got a call from my mother about a family she met in her bank on Thursday. They had fled from Meraux, Louisiana, a town now almost completely underwater. Having had the same feeling as I did, of wanting to help but not being sure how...she invited them home to stay with her. I was inspired by that to ask what they needed, to go around and pack up clothes and things to send. And I found that several of my friends were as well..when I told them they immediately asked what they could send to make this family's life better.

I know I'm not the only one with a story like this, and stories of friends and family who made it out with their lives and very little else. The enormity of such a loss is overwhelming. We tell ourselves that the important thing is they made it out alive, and that's true...but to lose almost literally everything you own, everything you've worked for, is impossible to truly comprehend.

Talking this over with another Gemstone player whose friend escaped from the French Quarter with nothing but a duffel bag, we decided to try and reach others who wanted to help. So, we are posting the names of the victims of Katrina that we know, along with everyday items that would just make their lives a little brighter, make them feel like they're not completely lost and alone. Please visit our page listing the refugees we know of and meet these families, help them if you can. Also, if you know of someone who needs this kind of help, post their information, or email it to us, and we will add them to the database.

We can each make a real difference...and won't it feel good?
