I was wondering if anyone else was getting as much good reading out the RZA's new book on the Wu Tang Clan.. If you have ever had an interst of any of the members of the band I highly suggest this book. I am about of a third of the way into... Its everything Wu Tang thats for sure... It has a lot of good knowledge in it as well. That is as much as I can say without giving away any of the book... I will say that I have spent $16 and got a lot less before... All in all I am just wondering what you all think....

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER :::

I was reading something that just caught me as absolutely great in the first part of the book.. There is a wicked Stora about how ODB snatches a shot gun of some boys trying to gun him and some cousins down.. Also I am finding that the book has a lot of good spiritual knowledge.. The RZA uses a lot of tao, budah, and confuscios idead mixed with some mulim and islam ideals.. It is a good story to see how people so exposed to the evils of life could step back and better themselves because of it.. Inspiring and good.. More then just some rap stars book of crap thats for sure...

Well in my opinion you crying the race card bullshit IS stupid. Give it a rest.

I'm crying... ok. And where have I played the race card, at all? I made a simple statement. I am not sensitve to words such as that, Xyelin, in case you were unaware. I'm sure you are. I also don't need to play the race card to call you out on saying something racially ignorant. (I would feel the same if you were a black person saying the word) If you can't handle my reaction to you using the word then that's your problem. And yes, obviously it is my problem if I can't handle you saying/typing the word. I can.

It's really that simple.

There was that stupid racist joke thread that people seemed to love.

Dev I understand your point of view and respect that. I used it in a quote relevant to the topic unlike Showal and God. Jump all over them first and also send a complaint to comedy central. (You obviously couldn't handle it being typed as you felt the need to make an issue out of it.)

And makkah your babble is retarded.

It was indeed a funny skit. I think he could've done a better job indicating it was from the Chappelle Show.

I used it in a quote relevant to the topic unlike Showal and God. Understandable. But, guess what, I didn't say anything because I didn't expect it to be continually used after GOD's thread the other day. And furthermore I did not expect to see it coming from you, Xyelin.
Jump all over them first and also send a complaint to comedy central. There was no need to jump over anyone and if you feel I'm doing that to you then you are mistaken. I voiced my opinion about the use of a word by a grown man on a message board and this is not Comedy Central, this is the PC. Instead of sending a U2U I'm making it public so I'm sure they will be able to view my thoughts on the use of the word if they care to read this thread.
(You obviously couldn't handle it being typed as you felt the need to make an issue out of it.)Handling it and not liking it are two different things. I'm not going to slit my wrists over it that's for sure.

Perhaps.. but to those who are Wu-Tang fans AS PERTINENT to this thread would have gotten the reference instantly. The best way to get the last word in is to apologize so I'm sorry to offend any trolls who took it out of context of the thread's topic.

Like I said no problem. It was a quote.

Btw you are off topic. Start a new thread about the word if you like. You've made it clear that I'm the PC racist so we can move along now.

We are off topic. And I don't feel you are a racist by any stretch of the imagination. :chuckle: You know that.

Wuxong, my bad for derailing this thread. Rza gets alot of respect for his ability to extend beyond music into other facets of entertainment and life. One thing I like about him is the fact that he has a creative sensibility that has yet to be rivaled in his industry. He's out there with his ideas and I like the fact that he isn't afraid to be different. I might check out his book afterall.

I may pick up the manual if we hit Barnes and Noble. Good to see a solid review.

"The world according to RZA" is phenomenally produced.

Other than that, Robert Diggs' producing skills > MC skills.

The next time I hear him throw his voice in that stupid robotic, high-pitched "boo-doo-doodoodoo-doo," I am going to donkey punch myself in the fucking testes...

Always have been. Hell, most Wu Tang fans will even admit that.

It's not too bad when he gets a plethora of other people to rap too. You can kinda ignore him.
