DESC: a small torn canvas painting
SHOW: The small piece of canvas has been painted with the image of a lithe, pale sylvan woman. Her hands and face are upturned toward the twinned moons of Liabo and Tilaok that hang above her in the sky. A silver-winged bird perches on each of her wrists, and both birds stare into the sylvan's face with calm black eyes. In the background, a restless wave is frozen midway through crashing across a pallid beach.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My little bard <Train 16> singing to it that has yet to get any fourth stanza:
This is a small item, under a pound. In your best estimation, it's worth about 35,000 silvers.
You sense a faint aura of magic around the torn canvas painting. From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the painting is to cast a spell or perform some magical purpose.
This is a raisable item, which casts spells from the Elemental sphere. It has a few charges.
...AND of course, still nothing on my fourth stanza.
... I also had a friend offer to sing to the item that has an older bard, and he got the same reading that my bard did, and that the spell was "Call Wind" ...
...BUT! -->
<Train 78 Wizard>
You gesture at a small torn canvas painting.
You sense that the painting is a magic item that holds the spell "Call Wind" with a bunch of charges and it is not well suited for duplicating.
Now, according to the older bard, its not mage rechargeable. However, that is not to say that it can't be INFUSED or Recharged by a GM elementalist. It is something that the buyer could discover of their own accord I am sure.
