View Full Version : London... 1/2 done

Well, I'm about halfway through my vacation/adventure in London.

Anyway, I'm just sitting at an internet cafe. Decided to shell out 1 pound for a halfhour to give you all a heads up whats happening.

This city is huge. I regret that I'm only here for a such a short time, but anyway, I'm a little bit tipsy so this is what I've been doing.

Tourist by day.. club hopper by evening. Soho is fantastic fun, with Oxford Circus being a a lively mess. It's big, I get lost, and I live right near Soho (only the Brits are gonna get these places)

The clubs are fun, but the pubs are the best. People are damn friendly, are eager to talk.. but.. WTF.. WHY CLOSE AT 11?!?!? Madness! I love getting a pint of London Pride.

Anyway, the club scene is a huge gaggle fuck. It's hard to find my way around, but anway it's lots of fun here. I dance, a drink a bit much.. but gah.. I HATE THE EXCHANGE RATE.

Those are my random thoughts now. A few too many pints in me, but.. Great city. Really is! Pictures to follow on Wednesday night folks!

Great to hear from you, Arkans, and it's wonderful to know you're enjoying London! Seems to me, when I was last there, there were pubs that were open in the wee hours. You just had to know the locals who knew where they were, or ask around. :D

Ya.. been doing a lot of exploring, but it's a lot of stabbing in the dark. I get dressed up, head to a place with lots of people at night, and hope for the best.

If I meet people and talk, awesome, if not, I just dance the night away.

Unfortunately... I can't sleep more than 6 hours here. That makes me sad about England.

Did you go all by your lonesome?

Heh. Yeah. That jet lag is a killer. When you only go for a week or so, your body never really gets a chance to adjust. Still, it's a great experience, even if you're strung out from too much spirit and too little sleep. :D

Isnt soho a gay area? And isnt it Picadily Circus? You missed out on the Boston meet, punk!

Been there and did the London Pride which was pretty good actually. Whats weird about London is you go a few blocks outside the neon lights and the pubs are full of like families.

I still recommend Covent Garden for clubbing if you're still reading this...
