Ugh, I’ve watched it twice. Have I been desensitized?

I thought it was good. Personally I think it seems like a movie that would be better the second time around.
Edited to add... Elijah Wood is hot.

Elijah Wood is creepy. There was no hot there. *shudders*
I also loved Sin City. I'm probably going to buy the DVD this weekend, I just can't decide on what cover to get.

Very good movie. I'd put it on the same watchableness as Reqiuem For A Dream...good the first time, then only occasionally.
I really love the way they shot it, though.

If I could have it automatically skip over the hooker/Dwight arc, I would watch it a lot.
Elijah Wood was definitely creepy. Now Josh Hartnett, he was hot (you know, for a mildly disturbing assassin).

Well of course Elijah Wood didn't look "hot" in this movie... He's just hot in general. Outside of his movie makeup anyway.

I got one question for everyone ...... How many of you are Marv and how many of you are Dwight.......... look deep inside and the truth you will find..
Quote: Dwight " Marvs not crazy he is just misunderstood. He would fit in perfectly in some galdiator arena sticking an axe into someone face. "
Great movie .. I will own it .. Probably 2 of em in case one breaks..

Well just watched it tonight... Wasn't too impressed I must say...
All around ok movie.
The whole part with the detective's head just made absolutely no sense... Without giving out SPOILERS, I guess I'll leave it at that.

I simply love the part where Marv and his parole officer are in the basement. The woman starts to scream, and Kevin slowly lolls his head, reveling in the ecstacy envoked from the sound of her fear.
Awesome awesome movie.

-SPOILER ALERT OMG!1!-

They needed to get the head back so that it wouldn't be turned in to the police, who would then stop looking the other way at what went on in Old Town. Without a sort of tacit approval, the women running the show would've been run out or atleast had to fight with the mob, which would've not been a fun thing.
-END SPOILER ALERT OMG!1!-
"I removed his weapons. Both of them." = Bad ass supreme.

But ok, it starts as he is helping Brittany Murphey because he slob husband is just that. He dashes after him and a cop starts to follow him. SCREW UP # 1 If the cop following indeed knew it was the detective like the girls mention, why would he chase him? Then we have the part where the head has tape on it's mouth. SCREW UP # 2 the girl from gilmore girls NEVER SAW the head before that, how did she know about tape or not?!! And SCREW UP # 3 is that whole part lost it's meaning. He was there to help his "girlfriend" Brittany, not Dawsen! I dunno. It was retarded... I don't like comic books though, hence X-Men, Spiderman and Batman all sucking...

I almost always watch things twice, even three or four times ... for Sin City, I would reccomend watching it more then once, since it will put a few things together for you that you may not have noticed the first time through. (Doesn't help that I play games while watching movies -- LOL)

how did she know about tape or not?!!She saw his body after Miho Pez dispensered him, there "weren't no tape" then.
is that whole part lost it's meaning. He realized that Brittany was t3h suxx0r and Rosario was t3h sexx0r.

Exactly! the whores in old Town said, "Damnit they saw him come in here!"
That was the whole reason they needed to destroy the bodies!! My point proven!

I loved the movie, I thought Marv's character was the coolest ever, reminded me very much of the dwarves I love to love!
I heard this movie sucked.

Freaking crazy ass cannibal ninja hobbit gives me nightmares!
(ok not really.. but god damn what a freaky ass character)
I didn't like it just because it was like four or five different storylines that weren't really connected to one another, aside from all taking place in the same city. I mean its like they wanted to do five movies but didn't want to re-introduce the backstory and setting each time, so they lumped them into one big ass movie which just stopped and restarted over and over.
Interesting movie... I'll probably watch it again if it came on TV or a friend hadn't seen it yet.. but I don't think it's one I'd sit down and watch again just for the hell of it.
CRAZY CANNIBAL NINJA HOBBIT.
Ahem
Edit: You know it just occured to me that this was a comic book series first... which would probably explain the whole "different storylines in the same place" aspect. I still didn't like it.. but it doesn't explain it

Yeah.. did anyone think that the hobit critter that ate the whores looked a little like Harry Potter after a bad mix of black magic, speed, and a bad manicure... ? ?
