Wizard CS is 288, Minor is 283, Major is 269 ( I think ). The real issue I'm seeing, is this wizard's bolt AS is 20-30 below others in or around his train.

Am I blind, or perhaps not thinking clearly as to why it is so low?

... and hit for 140 points of damage!
Acid dissolves the skin on the neck exposing the windpipe!
The rolton collapses to the ground, emits a final bleat, and dies.

Dunno, but while hunting in Bonespear, I see folks with 340-360 bolt AS, and I know I'm no slouch when it comes to training wizards.

513 ranks determine bolt AS too

The caster/target will receive a +1 bonus to their spell AS for every two Major Elemental spell ranks over 13, capped at the caster's level.

My wizard is 5 levels higher then yours, with a 32 bonus to dex, doubled in spell aim, and has a 347 bolt AS. You aren't really that bad. Of course I also think my wizard sucks, but it works.

That was my second question. 513 per rank in MjE adds AS, but 425/430 adds AS/DS per rank. I'm really trying hard to get my Major Elemental up to par, but not sure which is better route to go in the long run. I've never had a wizard this high before.

Depends on your end goal really... when we were able to test GS4 I did Tayvin with 3x spells, which was cool for CS and AS, I did a test with no lores (which I really didn't like), a test with board and sword, etc...

It's really your end goal -- what kind of wizard do you want him to be?

Sword/Board. I've got very nice gear for him, and I won't be rid of it for some wuss runestaff. Plus his DS is incredible.

Your bolt AS oughta be fine. As an elf, your DEX bonus is higher than most except for halflings.

Other mages might just be using Bravery or Heroism. Slip into inviso and 405 them to check heh.

Also, you didn't mention society in your post. Is he CoL or Voln or non-aligned?

Mine's CoL. In bonespear, my bolt AS isn't needed at all, to be honest. I'm just seeing others bolt strength begin to creep away from me. A fire mage using 415 = gawd vs. undead.

That's with 100 Dex and 50 ranks of major and minor elemental spheres. I think you're fine where you are.
