Best keyboard I've seen is one where someone took the circuit pad out from under a keyboard and custom built a keyboard using the gel they use on elevator buttons, clear, quiet, and blue cold cathode lit.

That is the greatest thing that I have ever seen, ever. The keyboard makes me want to take out high-interest loans just to purchase electronics :blush: And the sharpie board with the clock on it would make a fantastic gift for a coworker, too.

If they make an ergonomic version I'm all over it..

They better make an API for it... I would love to be able to write a program to utilize it (I wrote a program that used the numlock/caplock/srolllock lights once and I thought I was hot shit).

There is so much you could do... a script that causes your entire keyboard to flash red ala early RPGs when you get hit in Gemstone, forget onscreen visualizations for music... your keyboard would be light up in response.

They would be pretty stupid to not have APIs for this... there is so much you can do with it. Say you had a key as your mstrike macro... it could be red while your winded and turn green when you recover, same deal for if you have enough mana for a macro'd spell. Your "stance" macor keys could be the picture of the shield at whatever percentage your current stance is.

Endless amazing possabilities.

It will be an open-source keyboard, SDK will be available.
Some day it will be split (and made “ergonomic”).
Keys could be animated when needed.
