I need help. I am a level 14 Halfling Wizard who bolts at a 171 AS without being affiliated with a society. I am singled in harness power so I only have around 50 or so mana. What can I hunt that will actually get me some experience? I am 3x in spells and a runestaff user. I have 14 spells in each sphere. I don't need money from my hunting but would just like to fry once in a blue moon or heaven forbid every hunt? What should I hunt?

If you're not looking for cash, you might wanna try fire guardians. Minor water works great against them.

I also have halfling mage with a similar training path as yours, but is also in the dark society. At 14, he was hunting Krolvin warriors and mercs in the Landing or the Plains of Bone in Ta'Vaalor. At 18-24, started the Lunule Weald in Ta'Vaalor. Now at 26, he's hunting Spectral Miners in the Landing Graveyard solo. Currently, has a bolt AS of 280 (spells and signs solo)

Bolt AS of 280 at 26 huh? My wizard is 23 and his Bolt AS (minor acid) is 222. Seems lame in comparison...(this includes the dark powers too)

Why is this so low and what contributes to bolt AS?

Bolt AS = Spell aiming bonus + Dex bonus + Society buff bonuses + Spell buff bonuses.

Snow Spectres, then Wights.

Not sure what ya mean...Snow Spectres are only 9 on my map...Wights would do fine though at 20...

Are you slow witted? You can still gain experience from creatures ten levels below you. That wizard could easily hunt til 18-19 in spectres where there is 0 risk and one shot kills, then hit wights with the same probability of success.

My little 10-train wizzie is doing fine in wraiths. (Icemule style) I'd imagine a 14-train would do even better, and still fry just fine, and then move on to wights when boredom set in with the wraiths.

I'm not that slow...that wizard is 23, so hunting there until 18-19 is no longer an option. You are looking at the post by Jaehood from 8-23-05...my post and the most recent question is from yesterday.

Like I said, Wights are doable.

Who says my initial post was in reference to you? If you wanted to know what to hunt at 23, make a thread about it.

Zombies at 23. Minor fire works phenomenally against them. Acid and water are not bad, either.

Wights are far weaker.

Yes, they are, but they also boil. I don't care for being boiled, so that is why I offered up zombies as an alternative to the already-mentioned wights. :)

If you do plan to go for zombies (a totally viable alternative), I suggest getting some undisease imbeds.

Seems odd that you would respond to a post in a pretty inactive thread that was 3 months old just out of the blue....I'm guessing you were responding to me and just confused my level with the other character....

Although you are the self proclaimed "He Who Has More Posts Than Thou" king of posting so maybe you do post to inactive threads....

No. I tend to get a higher post count by answering retarded questions from retarded people.

Dear DRisen,

Shut the fuck up. StrayRogue was obviously replying to the first post.

Hey F You Bobby boy, you little beat off....go back to your little corner and keep playing with yourself...StrayRogue doensn't need clarification about what he said from anyone else, let alone from a cock sucking mouthy little bitch like yourself. If I want to hear anything else out of you I'll pull my cock out of your mouth and tell you to speak.

My question, retarted as it may have been, was not about what to hunt but was asking about bolt AS and how to figure it out - or more particularly was my wizards bolt AS lame....it really doesn't seem like it matters anymore.
